Miss Lovely all set for January release! - 0 views

  • Miss Lovely marks the first release for Easel, the brainchild of distribution executive Abhishek Gautam and filmmakers Bikramjit Gupta, Atanu Mukherjee and Pooja Gupte. Veteran distributor Sunny Khanna is in with Easel and Eagle to release Miss Lovely, according to Screen Daily.“We hope to release across 200-300 screens,” said Abhishek Gautam. “As a team we want to focus on distributing independent cinema in India.” The company will also release Sangee Thongdok’s Crossing Bridges, made in the north-east Indian dialect of Sherdukpen, that premiered at Mumbai Film Festival.Meanwhile, former IFC Films executive Ryan Werner and distribution agency Required Viewing are working on the US release of Miss Lovely, which is scheduled for March 2014. Cinetic Media’s FilmBuff is handling digital distribution for North America.Miss Lovely premiered at Cannes in Un Certain Regard in 2012 and won best film in the India Gold competition at last year’s Mumbai Film Festival. Fortissimo Films sold the film to France’s Ad Vitam in Cannes 2012.

However, the much anticipated project sees a delay in shooting and will go on floor next year.Apparently, KJo and Ekta’s loss has become Kunal Deshmukh’s gain, as now he can start shooting of his upcoming film Shaatir along with Emraan Hashmi, who is now free from his dates to Badtameez Dil.   “Emraan was gearing up to shoot for Badtameez Dil but due to certain circumstances; the film is not starting as planned in the end of September. Romance is a theme, but it is a dance show,” said Sajid.The celebrity couples participating in the new season are - Gurmeet Chaudhary-Debina Bannerjee, Kanika Maheshwari-Ankur Ghai, Amrapali Gupta-Yash Sinha, Raju Srivastav-Shikha, Kiku Sharda-Priyanka, Ripudaman Handa-Shivangi, Ridhi Dogra-Raqesh Bapat, Lata Sabharwal-Sanjeev Seth, Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi, Bruna Abdullah-Omar Farooque and Vinod Thakur-Raksha.

The canvas of the film leads it to that zone. Ours is definitely not in that zone. It's a fun film,” concluded Punit.Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is releasing on November 22 and the lead actors are currently busy in promotional activities. They have visited television shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Kone Banega Crorepati among mores.
