Hollywood actor Chris Pine revealed that to play Jack Ryan in Star Trek, he gathered advice from actor Alec Baldwin. For those unaware, initially, Pine, 33, was hesitant about signing Tom Clancy’s famous spy hero in the Jack Ryan franchise reboot.So he went to Baldwin for advice, as the latter starred in the first movie, The Hunt for Red October. "Alec and I were doing voice-overs for an animated film and sometimes we`d meet as one of us was reading or coming in. I saw him one time and I was like a kid, I was like, `Hey, I`m playing Jack Ryan, do you have any advice`?" Pine said."He just grabbed me by the shoulder and said, `Do it. Do it. And don`t let go`. Because he obviously, famously, left to do A Streetcar Named Desire on Broadway," he added. Pine worked really hard for the film, and didn’t come up with simple approach. "I would have been happy making Marathon Man or The French Connection. I would have done a long, slow action-free film and been very, very happy. That`s my personal leaning, but it is 2013 and you`d get a geriatric audience if you didn`t have some kind of fight stuff in there," Pine said."So between my reticence about making it too much like Bourne and Bond, and the inclinations of the studio to make it just that, I do hope we found some place in the middle," he added.We’re glad to say that you prove your mettle very well!

The British singer-cum-actress Sofia Hayat, who entered as a wild card entrant a few weeks back, is dropped out from Bigg Boss 7 house. Though initially, she entered the caravan section of the house, she soon stepped into the main Bigg Boss house where she mingled with all the contestants. She came out with a lot of spunk and never-say-die attitude in the show.However, post her fight with housemate Armaan Kohli, she was not feeling good in the house. Even at a point of time, she managed to create controversies and demanded to evict Armaan from the house. During a task Armaan supposedly hit the lady with the mop stick and she wanted to move out of the house.Sofia also made good friends in form of Gauhar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Andy and Kamya Punjabi. She joined Gauhar and Kamya’s hands and played the game while adopting the divide and rule tactic. But situations did not work in her favor and she ended up switching sides between Armaan-Tanisha and Gauhar-Kamya. Owing to her double-faced and deceitful nature, she attracted a lot of criticism from the housemates and was often referred to as Kerosene. Over all, she receives mixed feedbacks from her followers. Talking on her experience, Sofia Hayat said, “I had never watched a single season of Bigg Boss and had a very little idea about what I was getting into. But at the end of my journey in the house, I have learned a lot of things and was able to sail through all the testing times. Having said that, I do not regret a single moment spent in the house, though I faced disagreement with many people in the house.”Wish you luck for the future endeavors.

Everybody is talking about the latest controversy held in Bigg Boss 7 house between Tanisha Mukherjee and Kushal Tandon. Being a host of the show, Salman Khan took the charge to speak on the matter but what comes out from his mouth had surprised on and all. It was expected that Salman, who usually stay unbiased on the show, will be taking equal side of both the contestant but he seemed upset with Kushal’s behaviour bad towards Tanisha and lashed out on him.He gave an earful to Kushal for insulting Tanisha. “If you are thinking that you can clean your image, it's a misconception,” Salman told Kushal, and added he too had faced it and realised that one's mistakes are engraved on people's memories. “Because of this episode, this might be the last season for me,” he also said.Now, his reaction on the matter formed hullabaloo all over. There is a mixed reaction seen on the social networking site twitter where Salman Khan kept on updating about the substance. Sm times people do get carried away in fights, every 1 does n then they sort it out.”He explained his stance on the show, which is very close to his heart, saying: “l am only answering your question abt BB b cs u r following me .This is a game. It's on tv so I like to keep a check on it.”Salman come out clear that the man is not ready to accept any slight towards women's dignity, especially on his show. He made this point very lucidly when he tweeted: “U see 1 hour i see the whole deal. Guess sm of u guys may not react wen sm 1 speaks to your family ka female members or women in that manner. Buzz from Tinseltown has that Jackie Chan has joined the brigade, which intends to fight against the massacre of elephants for ivory producing as he has come up in support of the Canada-Germany co-production Gambling on Extinction.It is learnt that documentary would be presented by Real to Reel Productions and German partner a&o buero film production.For those unaware, it looks into the matter where the illegal trade of wildlife products takes place, such as ivory, rhino horn and tiger parts. "Everyone should dispel the myths that ivory jewelry and carvings are made from tusks that have fallen off the elephant or from elephants that have died of natural causes," said Chan."This is simply not true. Elephants are being hunted and killed for their tusks. The only way to stop the slaughter is to cut the demand. We are all consumers, so we can all make a difference," he added. Meanwhile, Real to Reel producer Anne Pick, on his part said, "I know Jackie supports many worthy causes, and we, along with our German partners at a&o buero, couldn't be happier about his support for our film and this international wildlife crisis."For those unaware, the documentary has been sold to ZDF in Germany, W5 and Animal Planet in Canada, France's ARTE, SBS in Australia and Sweden's SVT.Already looking forward to it!
