Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and her work would be honored at prestigious River To River film festival in Florence on November 22, 2013. She will be bestowed by Pegasus of the Region Tuscany Award by Cristina Scaletti, Tuscany's regional councilor of culture at the opening day of the fest.Other personalities and their films like Shyam Benegal’s Ankur, Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth, Vinay Shukla’s Godmother and Deepa Mehta’s Fire will also screen. Last year the River To River festival held a retrospective of Amitabh Bachchan's films.The 63-year-old actress said the Pegasus honour is big because when a state recognizes you, it's very heartening. “I'm honoured and humbled and grateful to the writers and directors who cast me in challenging roles. Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is quite a task-maker and everyone is well-aware of the fact. His upcoming film is Ram-Leela, which stars actors like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Richa Chadda, who was appreciated for her act in Gangs of Wasseypur and Fukrey.While promoting the film recently, Richa was all praises for her director. One should never let ego clash into one's craft or let petty distractions lose the focus because eventually it will affect your performance,'' says the 24-year old actress.Everyone knows that SLB keeps on losing temperament and even Deepika faced his wrath, however, Richa didn’t become victim of SLB's stringency or temper. ''Fortunately all of my directors have been tough taskmasters....Bhansali sir may be known for his eccentricity and temper but I felt nothing of that sort or came across that side of his. It would be a completely family affair when Shatrughan Sinha’s production house Shotgun Films’ upcoming film to launch his twin sons Luv and Kush Sinha as main lead role. The production house has also signed director Umesh Shukla for its second film that will feature Sonakshi Sinha as its protagonist. The belle, who has already proved her acting powers, is excited about the re-launch of Shotgun Films. “Everybody has their own production house today. Since we have in-house actors, director and producer, it’s all sorted. Dad later went into politics. As kids we knew he was in show business but didn't look beyond that. So it's great that today we three are reviving the banner. Dad's thrilled and proud of us,” Sonakshi beamed.Does it mean the audience will get to see father-daughter sharing screen space in the coming production ventures? Sonakshi says, “I would love to. But we have to find something that suits his booming personality, he can't do a film for the heck of it.”Shatrughan Singh, who is currently active in political services, was last seen in Hindi film Rakta Charitra, released on 2010. He has been out from film making and acting since. But his presence is quite visible in television serials. Young director Punit Malhotra, I Hate Luv Storys fame, is working with filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the second time. He is completing in Karan’s impression and praises him as an easygoing producer.He is collaborated with Karan again for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. Speaking about the work pattern of KJo’s production unit, Punit said, “As a producer Karan is lenient enough to give you whatever you want. The advantage is that he is also a director. As far as the space is concerned, he didn't come on the sets even once. As a producer, he gives you everything you want.”Earlier, Punit has attended Karan as his assistant in his hit film Kal Ho Na Ho and Dostana. About his upcoming directorial, he says GTPM is a wholesome entertainment which pulls a universal audience. But he is not targeting Rs.100-crore marks. “Rs.100 crore depends on a lot of factors. The canvas of the film leads it to that zone. Ours is definitely not in that zone. It's a fun film,” concluded Punit.Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is releasing on November 22 and the lead actors are currently busy in promotional activities. Many A-list actors such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn seem to prefer remakes of popular south films as they have proved to be successful in Bollywood too.Debutant director Anup Jagdale is all set to make his first debut Marathi feature film titled Bharla Malwat Rakhtaana. Insiders claimed the film to be an Official remake of Rekha starrer 1998 cult hit Khoon Bhari Maang which was about a wealthy widow who is almost killed by her lover and sets out for revenge. The film was a comeback venture for Rekha in that year and was a critical and commercial success. It was said when Rakesh Roshan started shooting this film, Many close friends warned him about the project being Risky as it had no commercial 'Hero-Angle' in the film. "My film is about a woman who is cheated and betrayed and she is almost killed only to bounce back for a Brutal Revenge rampage Marathi Cinema will ever see. I will not speak further about the film as i want the audience to enjoy my final product." said first timer Anup Jagdale. The casting of the film is also kept under-wraps, However it is confirmed that acclaimed Marathi actor Milind Shinde will enact the character of Shatrughan Sinha.The Trade and the Media is curious to know about the actress playing the role of Rekha. Few names such as Sai Tamhankar and Sonalee Kulkarni bumped in, but director Anup Jagdale remained lip-tight about the actress.The poster of the film also carries just the name of the film along with main credits. The shoot of the film is going on at the locales of Maharashtra and the film is all set to release on 1st December 2013.
