Study done by Writing in Digital Environments (WIDE) Research Center, Michigan State University, published September 7 2010. The study looks at the writing lives of over 1300 first year students, enrolled in a variety of secondary settings (and geographic locations), from large 4-year universities, to a community college. On October 5 2010, Dr. Jill Biden will chair a White House Summit on Community Colleges, highlighting "the critical role that community colleges play in developing America's workforce and reaching our educational goals." There is both an online forum (see tag whitehouse_cc) and an opportunity to submit videos. The event will be webcast, as well.

Originally EPAC, or Electronic Portfolio Action Committee (currently called Electronic Portfolio Action and Communication) formed within EDUCAUSE , this is an association of national leaders in ePortfolios formed in 2008. In the Fall of 2010, AAEEBL will have its first annual conference.
