Part of the University of Georgia's College of Education Initiative on Innovation in Teaching and Technology (ITT), this page links to presentations in the Innovation 20/20 series. Each topic is a 20 minute presentation on a specific innovation, followed by a 20 minute discussion period. Topics range from more reflective teaching (e.g. Using Metaphor to Explore Teaching and Learning) to using specific tools or strategies (Designing and Implementing an Undergraduate Blogging Community in EDIT 2000 or Motivating Students with Google Tools and More). Navigation on this page also points users to Innovation Resources, Innovation News, and the Discovery Series (another set of online videos).

The Innovating Pedagogy blog is a forum for Open University to distribute their Innovating Pedagogy 2012 report (click on report for a PDF download) and also for each of the 10 innovations to be described and commented on by the larger community.

The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) is a community of higher education institutions and organizations committed to advancing learning through information technology (IT) innovation. ELI is a strategic initiative of EDUCAUSE. Rodin heads the Rockefeller Foundation and, in this interview, discusses their new initiative to fund organizations that work on innovation processes. The two examples are crowdsourcing (they fund InnoCentive, a for-profit that sponsors contests to solve other company's R&D problems) and collaborative competitions (they partnered with Changemakers, where the participants collaborate on each other's solutions).

Presented by Innovation in Teaching and Leaning for Technological Innovation at Nashville State Community College. The premise of this project is that a course is linked with a local business and the students work directly with business partners to solve "real-world problems." The site offers background on problem-based and case-based learning, as well as tools to help an instructor connect with a business and frame his/her course.

Resources for "makers," DIY folks who innovate, create and share projects & ideas. These resources include a subscription based magazine, a blog, videos & podcasts, shared project ideas, a forum/community and a store. Additionally, Maker Faire is an annual conference for the Make audience. Make Magazine, published quarterly by O'Reilly is a hybrid magazine/book "(known as a mook in Japan)".

At first blush, the site might seem tricky to navigate, but it is loaded with interesting ideas. Entries are color-coded (key is on the left), and you can also search for specific terms.

The model for school change that Jacobs outlines looks very similar to the GSCC project, in that both look at what's working and how it might be replicated, focusing on the positive (solution) rather than the more negative (problem). NOTE: The Harvard Business Review article that Jacobs refers to was published in 2005.
