You tube for teachers! Here you will find videos posted by teachers to aid in their instruction. Some stuff is really good, others not so much, but as with anything on the net you have to spend some time browsing. Great resource if you are not inclined to do your own video!

What do you guys think? Should teachers sell their hard working lessons in order to furnish classrooms with books and whatnot and at the same time make a quick buck? Very controversial!

PowerPoint Presentations for Spanish Class!! - 0 views

Nice website that has Power Point presentations already made for you (of course you can download and change them as you wish). I like this because sometimes it takes a long time to create a Power Point presentation! I particularly liked the one about "El Mundo Hispano" which talks about countries that speak Spanish, great way to integrate Social Studies!

frontline: inside the teenage brain | PBS - 0 views

  •
Great instructional video for teachers and parents to understand the teenage brain. If you are planning on teaching middle and high school I strongly recommend it. If you have taken SECD 4140 you might've seen it already. For me, it was an eye opener. I was a teenager a long time ago and sometimes I feel like I don't really relate or understand certain behaviors. After watching this video I feel more compassionate towards teenagers! Check it out! This is the website we went over in the last class while in the library. It is a very informative and helpful site in regards to lesson plans. Whether you are looking for an exact lesson plan on a particular objective from the NC Standard Course of Study, or an idea to help you build your own. I think this as a great resource for ever NC teacher.
  •

This resource is not only helpful for educators, but for parents as well. The specific article I am referring to provides parents with a detailed list of hints for homework-help and home-front strategies to get the most out of homework and study time (maybe a great "packet" to hand out at open-house =D ).
