Because when you make grill cheese sandwiches, it always give off that smell no one likes and there's pans to wash and you know we're all so lazy to do that. This is an article that explains and acknowledges that evolution of the iPod. From the original iPod models, to the iPod shuffle, and now to the iPod touch, this Apple invention took everyone by surprise and through they years, it has made a historic mark in the world of technology. This evolution is impactful to our world because everyone at some time or another has owned or used some form of an iPod and despite its high price tag, this is nothing that stopped consumers to contribute to more than 220 million iPods sold, comprising over 70% of the market for all portable audio players. It is astonishing to see how far this one creation has come with each generation improving in memory, megapixels, features, ports, size, weight, and much more. The iPod is certainly a revolutionary piece of technology and hardware and as much contributions and success this device has made to the lives of many, it can only be assumed that another one is on it's way. The improvements and advancements to the external and internal design will present itself in various ways, that is sure to catch the eyes of millions of people worldwide, making another mark to the impact of the iPod. 

The Evolution of the iPod. This article talks about the numerous iPods sold throughout the past several  years. More than 220 million Ipods have been sold as of 2009. These iPods are always improving and changing size that seems to best suit people in many ways. Technology always has a huge impact on people and the way they  use things. These iPods have a social impact throughout and will continue to do so. Some people want an iPod that is strictly for music, and there are iPods for that. Whereas others would like more of a variety within, that's where the iPod touch is necessary. It contains a browser, email, camera, and Apps to play games on. 

People use iPads to read, watch videos, play music and so much more. Now, they will also be able to control things from within the home with their tablet. Sources say that the iPad will soon be able to control your t.v., and Control4, and company based in Utah has already started thinking past this. They have an iPad app which can be used to control security features, lighting, temperature and entertainment media. Not only would you be able to access the things from your home while you're at home, but also while you're out. You could turn up the heat in your house before you came in or turn off the lights if you forgot to do it when you left. This app also turns iPads into a surveillance system. You would be able to see what's going on around your house but for a much cheaper price. I'm sure this is something many people would like because it means less work for everyone.

Our beloved Grooveshark is no longer supposed by EMI and all four labes are also suing the company. Grooveshark had paid over 2.6 mill to EMI, but GS is in a situation where it has to remove EMI's OG records from its database. WILL THIS BE THE END OF OUR SINGING?!

Well, nowadays, most people don't use the website Grooveshark as much anyway (there are just a couple of people that I know of that still use the site). But this support from the music EMI is going to be a big loss for them because they are going to have to remove any original recordings provided by the company. This totals to about four major record labels dropping out, plus all of them are suing Grooveshark. It's not a very good thing, is all I have to say. 

What is Microsoft thinking!? You can't release a major version of an OS that is used by about 90% of the market and just remove something everyone has been using for the past decade. I tried the Windows 8 Developer Preview and Metro is OK, but it's not something you seriously want to use with a mouse, which is a problem for business that don't spend money on touch screens, mainly because their employees don't need them. But now they go ahead and remove the start button completely, making it a hot corner instead, which can be really hard to use at times. When I'm at my computer, I want to be productive, and the standard start menu is the way to do that. I like pretty interfaces, but I also like things that just work, and that's what the start menu is to me. Long story short, if you have an OS as big as Windows, don't make big UI changes like this, because it can really turn out bad and confusing.

This talks about apps you can download to your apple things or smartphones if you are interested in U.S. politics. These apps can update you on  events thats happening in U.S. politics/government. Im not very interested in U.S. governments or politics but some people do so this can help them even when they are not in U..S. they dont have yo go to internet and look for it. Apps will do that for you and upgrade it. This shows that now you can know whats happening in other countries in just few seconds. That's how much technology has improved since before. 

This article is very beneficial for those who like free apps like my classmates in this class. If one has the android phone, they will be provided with 10 free apps that they will use everyday. This would be important for people who need certain things right away and can't afford it, or in a rush and don't have the time to download the apps. For example, a free app that is mentioned in this article is the alarm clock app. You have more than one option to choose from when using this alarm clock, rather than the one built in the phone because it is specifically for alarms. Further stating, that these 10 free apps for the Android can be helpful for busy people.

These glasses are really good for everyone. They can be 3D and can have your prescription in them. They are good because you can watch t.v from these glasses and they are in full color. This glasses can benefit all because then you wont need to buy a T.V. These glasses will make the T.V appear farther and not right up to your eyes. As well, they can have a GPS and other things programmed into your glasses. This relates to the course because you need to program software onto the glasses and lens. The lens part of the device is the hardware.

This article is about Google's new tablet that will be released sometime in April this tablet is expected to cost $199, it will be 7-inch. This tablet is an update for the android 4.0. I think people would invest in this because it can do many things like IPad but is cheaper. I think people should invest in a Google branded tablet instead of the IPad beacause it can save you a lot of money.

This article is about google coming out with their own version of an app like siri called Google "assistant". I'm sure many companies are trying to find a way to compete with apple. Siri was just the next big thing that helped apple stay on top. Now companies like google are trying to compete and bring out their own version of this most loved app. Google says that unlike  siri, this app is more about accomplishing real-life goals, and less about returning search results. Google says 2012 is the year of "assistant".

This is a concept car for the future. It was created by the company "Infiniti" and it is a fully electric car.The inside and the outside appear to be very stylish for an electric car. The engineering in cars are becoming very outstanding and the technology in them are improving. This newly designed car relates to our course because you need to program various things in the car for it to work. You also need to program the GPS attached to the car so they can give you proper directions. This car is also a software and hardware because the actual car is the hardware, and the GPS part of the car is the software. Furthermore, this car is an environmental impact because it doesn't use gas which is very expensive today. That is how this car relates to the course.

This article is very important if you have important files in your computer or of you share your wi-fi with someone else. This article tells you how to protect your computers and data when someone else is using your network. Similar things happened to my family when someone hacked into my network. We had to change our password. There are many ways to protect your computer such as creating a difficult password, turning off file sharing and network discovery, hiding your files, creating a separate network for guest network, or by locking down your network. This would be a very useful for my family to ensure that no one else will break into our network again. I think this article would be very helpful to everyone because I think everyone has something they want to hide form anyone else in their computer and this article could help them to hide those files. 

This article is about  spherical solar cells that can collect light from any direction. It can also collect light energy that is bouncing off in their surrounding. Compared to the traditional flat solar panels, this gizmo can work at its optimal performance any time of the day, leaving the old fashioned solar panels a thing in the past. 

I'm actually very surprised that Google was able to get away with having a 50 MB limit on apps for so long. iOS has a much bigger limit, if there even is one, which allows for apps with more resources. Before this change in policy that allows up to 4GB apps in the Android Market, users would essentially download a client app that would get the rest of the files from a server hosted by the app's developer. This can be very costly for some, and drive away development on Android, so it's a good thing Google upped their limit.

Phones are a very big thing in today's society.  A phone is almost similar to a computer, except that it fits into your pockets.  Phones can almost do anything, from calling, to social networking, to playing games, and watching movies.   Every phone user knows how precious their phone is to them, especially when it's the highly priced iPhone 5.  There are some negatives to phones however.  Of course, phones will need to be repaired every once in a while.  Unfortunately, the front glass, digitizer and LCD are all one component, which makes repair more expensive and harder.  However, there are some upsides!  A shattered screen is a very common problem for all Apple users, which is a really big positive.   This article proves that an iPhone 5 can be really financially beneficial for many consumers, because since it's easy to repair the screen, it makes it easier,  At the same time, it can be pretty costly, since everything else other (such as the LCD) than screen is still just as hard to replace.

I mean, I never would have thought twice about that rock sitting by the tree on my way to school, but now I'm starting to think that I should have. Every day, we encounter countless items that have become so normal for us. A ring, a tissue box, a car remote; we wouldn't even think about the possibility of a hidden camera in these commonplace items. Now, the question remains, is this kind of more advanced technology always better? Sure, these hidden cameras can be used by law enforcement and such to do surveillance, but what about the possibility of this falling into the wrong hands. In our world, we know that it's not difficult at all to get a hold of this kind of technology and to be perfectly honest, that makes me a little nervous. Despite the fact that this post was meant to be light-hearted and interesting, it also raises awareness about the risks of such technology. Before reading this article I never would have thought that the wallet that lady at the mall was holding could really have been a camera recording my every move, but now I've realized that things aren't always what they look like, especially in this day and age. After reading this post, I think I'm going to be a little more vigilant and probably also more paranoid, because we can never know if or where there is a hidden camera.

Everyone wants a iphone! However, there was a riot at the Chinese Foxconn Technologies factory the home of the Iphone 5 assembly line was back up and running now. There were two groups of workers and who make two different products at the plant. It started as a fist-fight then resulted in a full-scale brawl. 5000 police were called to stop the riot. I think that people shouldn't fight over such silly things like two different brands of phones.
