Very true article - 3 views

  •
    Yes, very true indeed!!
  •
okay i have finally gotten to write a description about this :).. anyway... so basically what this article is about is secure internet web servers that use SSL encryption. what this does is make it very hard for hackers, malware, spyware, and all other bad kinds of "wares" out of your computer making it virus free and it doesn't allow ip hackers to watch what you are doing on the internet. The reason for this is mainly to protect bank account numbers, login id's, passwords, credit card information, and even personal information that, if not protected can get your identity stolen. Two big issues that website hosts do not agree with is that SSL (HTTPS secure connection) costs money. It is not that easy to keep a secure server blocking out hundreds of thousands of malware virus', phishing programs, and spyware, while at the same time keeping it free. Also another big problem with this is that it slows down the server. If there are a limited amount of people going on your website (meaning barely into the hundred hits) than you shouldnt have this problem, but for big websites like facebook, that have millions of hits per day, this is a big deal because they want to keep themselves on top of speed and one of the most popular social networking websites out there. basically, to sum everything up, HTTPS servers cost too much money, some websites dont even need them, and they slow down the servers a significant amount.

Wearable Antenna for USMC - 1 views

  •
God bless America for the most technologically advanced trigger happy group of soldiers in the world. America is constantly trying to better their view of the battlefield so today BAE systems unveiled a GPS unit that can track, and see what the soldiers see's at all times. This is to be transmitted from an extra light garment like antenna to a command center where generals can have a better view of the battlefield. Bless America and its continuing fight against the fascist, the communist, the terrorist and the intellectual community. USA USA USA USA USA -Certified American Badass

    The intellectual community?
  •
Sarcasm, republican primaries have left me with some resentment. I feel if they get in charge we can say goodbye to american scientific innovation for the next little while.

You will never lose your dog again - 0 views

  •
This is a new device that just attaches to dog collars. It will track the pet down no matter where it goes. it just attaches to the collar, so that you will never lose your dog. you just have to charge the battery before going on a walk because the battery only lasts a week, but if you do not charge it regulary then that number will obviously decrease. this device comes with an app so that you can use your phone too.this device will help new pet owners find their pets in case something goes wrong. Maybe I should get one for my brother, he doesn't take directions like "stay here," or "follow me," very well.

Nexus Prime Boot Animation - 1 views

  •
Although we'll have to wait a little while longer to get our hands on the alleged Samsung Nexus Prime, that hasn't stopped one YouTube user from showing us the not-so-mysterious device's boot animation running on a Droid Bionic. It isn't much, but for those patiently awaiting what Samsung has in store, every little bit of info is welcome. It's not like we don't know what the rumored Prime might look like, its rumored specs, and even what oft-leaked version of Android it'll come pre-loaded with. It can't be much longer until the Nexus Prime is officially announced, but until then, keep your eyes on TechnoBuffalo for all the latest.

No, Facebook Is Not Ruining Your Grades [STUDY] - 0 views

  •
Studies have shown that Facebook is not responsible for decreasing our grades. Could this be true? On average, students spend at least 106 minutes on Facebook a day. This is only a decrease of 12 points in total which is not an significant amount. A man named Junco thinks that Facebook can be used effectively as an educational context. Is Facebook going to be part of our homework now? If so, I'd be getting straight A's.

Sony is suffering from yet another hack attempt on its networks. But this time, the company seems to be better prepared, and apparently all credit card information is safe. RIM Offers Users Free Apps After BlackBerry Service Outage - 0 views

  •
Blackberry users are mad. And why shouldn't they be? RIM went down. RIM is what MAKES Blackberrys. The outage that lasted more than three days has now been resolved, and to make amends for it, RIM does not only apologize, but also offers 12 free apps. Woo hoo. But, there is also a month of free technical support. So, there is something to gain. Millions of customers worldwide were left without access to various apps, email, etc. Is this a big enough apology?
  •
After a BlackBerry service outage that lasted more than three days, RIM is trying to make fix their mistakes  by offering them a selection of premium apps for free, as well as one month of free technical support. The RIM service outage was the biggest one they have ever had, and alot of customers are starting to switch, but RIM ensures this will never happen again... yeah right...
  •
All Blackberry users including myself were all ticked off after the 3 day service outage. As an apology, RIM (company that makes Blackberrys) decided to offer 12 free apps for Blackberry users. (Bejeweled, Texas Hold'em Poker 2, Bubble Bash and Shazam Encore) On top of that RIM has given us one month of technical support. I admit that RIM is trying hard to get back on track but sadly this isn't going to keep customers from switching phones. :$

Situation (Jersey Shore) is thrown out of Apple Store trying to buy an IPhone 4S - 0 views

  •
Jersey Shore's very own Mike "The Situation" foolishly thought he could cut in line to buy the newest apple device and instead was kicked out of the store. Mike's personality on the shore doesn't seem to be much different from his real life as shown by this act he is cocky, and thinks way too much of himself. Guess he wont be getting his IPhone 4S any time soon.

iPhone 4S First Weekend Sales Exceeds 4 Million, Doubles The Pace Of The iPhone 4 | Tec... - 2 views

  •
Apple announced today that over the weekend the iPhone 4s sold roughly 4 million copies, doubling the iPhone 4's sales. This is relevant because now i get the feeling that apple can put out pretty much anything, and it will sale really well.
  •
Apple just announced that it sold four million iPhone 4S handsets over the last weekend. The phone hit stores on October 14th and it took just three days to move the massive lot. Incredible.
  •
The iPhone 4s was in stores on October 14th and sold 4 million copies, doubling the iPhone 4's sales. This surprised me because when I first heard of the iPhone 4s, it seemed rushed. I thought the 4s was just something to put in the market while Apple was trying to make adjustments for the iPhone 5. I'm starting to think that whatever Apple puts releases into the market, consumers will just buy buy buy.

Can Google's Upcoming MP3 Store Compete With iTunes? - 0 views

  •
Google is coming up with a digital music store to try and compete with itunes. I doubt it can. Itunes is pretty much dominating the market for music. (out of the ones where you buy the music). So far though, they're having trouble getting clearence from music labels because google in the past has been soft of music piracy.

Galaxy tab banned in Austraillia bc of apple - 0 views

  •
That's right, folks, the legal battles between Apple and Samsung are far from over. The Cupertino company has successfully won its case to have a preliminary injunction slapped on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, meaning Samsung cannot sell its 10-inch slate down under.

PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.COM - 1 views

This website is THE best website in the history of all mankind. Billions of years from now after the 16th nuclear war wipes out humanity again, our descendants will look to and praise this website as they believe it is the most wise being in the world. When I assigned this link the task of redirecting users to my site, it refused because it is just way too epic. Its link people actually believe that this website serves somekind of divine purpose and that we regular people have no right to meddle with these matter, that all changed however with a handsome enough sum of money.

Air Force's 'Not Science Fiction' Commercial Totally Is - 0 views

  •
An US air force recruitment commercial that promises that everything you see is real; but right away you notice that the first 30 seconds of the commercial is from a Micheal bay movie. The part that amazed me the most was that the c-17s fly's to a collapsing bridge to safe some stranded people on it, when it gets to the bridge the engines (which are 500,000 pounds each) turn vertical and make the plane stationary for enough time to rescue the stranded; then the plane transforms into another aircraft and fly's away. How can you call something like this real, unless the U.S. army is flying an auto-bot c-17s.

Adobe flash turns out to be a easy to get hacked file. There are ways to access  your microphone or webcam without proper prevention. Adobe has updated their software and it should be prevented.

So somehow hackers could hack your flash privacy panels, for short is that they can check you out on your camera. But now they fixed it so they can't see you through your camera, especially if you don't have your clothes on.

some more hi tech glasses - 1 views

  •
these glasses may be big and attached to a pack which must be carried with you, but it is pretty cool. these glasses may not look like much, but when you where them and turn them on, it displays a projection screen about 1 meter away from your eyes. like what you always see in spy movies or something. the little packs can attach to your belt, and displays it like a screen, it is meant for workers so that they can view the manual when working on something without climbing down to get it. NEC will start shipping these out on Dec 26(the day after Christmas) and I think that it will prove to be very useful in every day situations. it is priced at 400,000 yen or $5,200, but the software is at 1.9 million yen or $25,000

'Unwitting' thief helps police by uploading picture of himself on victim's Facebook pag... - 1 views

  •
When most thieves commit a crime they try to get away from police. However looks like karma got back at a man who stole a woman's cell phone. He tried uploading a picture onto facebook through her phone but the phone was set to automatically post it to her wall. This gives police pretty much all they need to catch him.
