JavaScript is a well known programming tool that has been around for quite awhile. Many up and coming programmers start out with JavaScript based on it being flexible, maintainable, powerful, and very easy to use. However, once these startups start becoming larger and larger, many lines of coding are needed, and this is where the issue arrives. When being used on a larger scale, JavaScript is in no way the main performer as it is on the smaller scale. JavaScript's features previously stated are what attract programmers to using the engine. However, now that larger companies are using it, the limitations are becoming evident. Being described as an 'iron triangle', JavaScript's issues lie in the fact with an improvement in one area. another area suffers. If you want high flexibility and performance, it's going to be harder to maintain the code. If you want great performance and maintainability,  the flexibility and ability to adapt to change will be reduced. Big budget companies don't have time to be messing around with JavaScript's shortcomings, which is keeping them attracted to lesser engines, such as Flash. The article then continues to discuss whether or not JavaScript is on it's death bed. Some argue that a total revamp is required to keep JavaScript afloat, while others believe that the death of JavaScript will allow newer, more optimized engines to be developed and brought to the world's attention. I tagged this article as economics simply for that last point. Browser engines such as JavaScript and Flash have been around for quite awhile, with no threats to their status in sight. The game Flappy Bird, created by Dong Nguyen was a rapid success. However it also followed with a rapid downfall. This article details how the game began to what it started as, an indie game created for a small nostalgic audience. It then grew to something way bigger. Dong was making more than $50,000 a week for his money. Flappy Bird was also number 1 on the app store for days straight, even then, Dong Nguyen was receiving death threats and rude remarks regarding his game. These threats and remarks kept happening so Dong was forced to remove his game off of the apple store. He is continuing to make other indie games though. Dong Nguyen said he will keep making games, and he wants to be a respected Indie game developer, not just another viral episode of the app store. Dong though, has been noticed by the indie developer that created Super Hexagon. I inferred, that a collaboration will happen between the developers. In my opinion I believe the cancellation of Flappy Bird was a publicity stunt to provide more coverage on Nguyen's other games.

This article is about the evolution of the normal cell phone vs the smartphone. The Pew internet and the american life projects  reported that smartphone users have now surpassed(Be better than) basic phone users. It also talks about how the mobile phones will over take PCs.

Kind of funny from this perspective, here's the story: it all went down in Texas. 36-year-old Benito Apolinar posts an update, on Facebook, about the anniversary of his mother's death. Tragic enough for one day, right? Wrong. His wife of 15 years made no comment on the post. So what? Well, he allegedly beat her for it. Facebook, do you see what you do to people? And alcohol, as well?

Two days ago it has been reported that a 36 year old Texas man attacked his wife for not 'liking' his status on Facebook. Benito made a status update about the anniversary of his mother's death. Angry that his wife made no response he punched her in the cheek and pulled her hair under the influence of alcohol. He was later arrested and is scheduled to appear in court soon. Just how much is Facebook impacting our lives?!

For many years scientists have been banging their heads on the wall that is Cancer. No cure seems to be found that is perfect, but they keep striving on. In this article Scientists are starting to develop a new approach. Scientists have developed a technology that allows them to manipulate nano-particles and are using them to fight cancer. These particles are ejected into the cells along with protein and then travel into their system. They then latch on to three separate "nodes" and attach them together. This in fact is the cells death switch causing it to self district Furthermore, this has proven successful in destroying many cells, but there are still problems. First of all, there is so far no way of controlling which cells are targeted, so this is not very safe for you, and some cancer cells are making attempts to resist this. To conclude, I believe that this is an ingenious piece of technology and with some further development we may see a cure for cancer.

The company that created the Angry Birds franchise, Rovio, came out/released the Angry Birds Star Wars game.  This game is available on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, PC and Macintosh systems.  There is a free version and a paid version of the game.  The paid version of the game adds HD graphics.  There are more than 80 levels in the F2P version.  All though the general idea of the game is the same, they have added little things that are unique to Star Wars.  You start the game on Tatooine and the settings you play through are planets and the death star.  Another addition is the change is bird abilities.  For example, there is now a bird that holds a lightsaber and can go through obstacles.  This game, personally, sounds very interesting and I am sure to download it.

A recent study indicates that more people in the world have cell phones than toilets. According to a national report, 6 out of 7 billion people on the Earth have cell phones, compared to the 4.5 billion who have access to a functional toilet. Cell phones are in no way a bad thing, the major concern here is the shockingly low number of toilets. The study shows that those in countries without proper sanitation lose about 4500 children a day, just because they lack proper cleanliness. The shortage of latrines makes disease spread quite easily, and it is shown that the countries with the most poverty have a direct correlation to the countries which lack proper bathrooms. Bill Gates and the UN have been working to make a toilet that can easily be installed and maintaining in a developing country, and hopefully these findings will decrease the amount of death and poverty in these third world countries. Although the article compares two completely different things (cell phones and toilets), it does well at shining a light on things we take for granted in our lives. It's great that cell phones are everywhere, it allows anyone anywhere to have access to information from around the world. However, the priorities need to be straitened out; toilets are way more important than iPhones.

This article is about how Google maps now allow you to go into street view over the peaks of mountains.Google's Dan Fredinburg, program manager and mountaineer, lead Google Mountain Enthusiast teams up Aconcagua in Argentina, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Elbrus in Russia, and up to the Everest South Base Camp in Nepal. Unfortunately, the team showed up just a little bit too early in the season to make it all the way to the top of Everest, and had to settle for base camp citing their guides' literal warning of certain death on the way to the peak, Fredinburg told Wired. But summit of Everest or not, the sights are still amazing, and have never been quite this easy to see for yourself. So go on google maps to see how amazing these peaks really are.  In my opinion, I believe that this is incredible for everyone because not everyone is a mountaineer and some mountaineers themselves haven't been able to reach the peak of a mountain. So I believe that with this new feature, it will grab people's attention and give them a better idea of what the top of a mountain looks like.

DayZ is a revolutionary game which started as an idea from lead designer Dean Hall. Dean Hall was inspired to make DayZ after a near death experience. DayZ started off as a mod for Arma 2 which was out for three years sold 1 million copies after the DayZ mod was released they sold 1 million copies in a few months. After Bohemia (the company that makes ARMA games) gave Dean Hall a standalone DayZ project which has passed 1.5 million copies sold and is still in pre-alpha. All in all DayZ is a game that tests your humanity, fear, compassion and everything in between.

Flappy Bird may be dead but Miley Cyrus is not. Once Flappy Bird died everyone jumped on the bandwagon to develop a similar game. Flying Cyrus has been fifth in the App Store since the death of Flappy Bird but Flying Cyrus may be dead soon to. Miley Cyrus's lawyers have been telling the creators of Flying Cyrus to pull the game down. Talo Games (the creators) do not plan on it anytime soon. As for what will happen we will find out in the future.

In Italy, a Perceptual Robotics Laboratory is creating a revolutionary robot exoskeleton. The suit allows the user to more freely than any other exoskeleton built up to date and it also lets you lift up to 220 pounds with ease. It is being made specifically for people to use in disaster zones such as areas where earthquakes have struck. In my view I believe that it is great that humanity has been able to create these machines to save lives. Although, a new age in technology creates a new age of warfare. It would not be the first time that something made for the benefit of mankind would cause death and destruction. Such as gunpowder, with was accidentally created when the Chinese were trying to create an elixir of life.

Apparently, SNCF, a french railway company who shipped a lot of Jews to concentration camps and by proxy their imminent deaths, is being demanded to pay reparations to many Holocaust survivors in the US who are also trying to pass a bill that makes sure no taxes will go towards that company until they take full responsibility for their actions and that partnerships with American businesses will be blocked. SNCF has already made an apology but goes with the excuse of saying that they were coerced by the Nazis, much to the disbelief of the survivors who think and have evidence that what happened was concretely a business deal. This controversy is a very big deal as it brings up past wrongs that still need to be fixed even to this day. Those Holocaust survivors have been through hell and surely they should receive all of the compensation and more because of the terrors they have experienced which no one in their entire life should. Until this situation turns out, I hope that justice gets served.

I can not count how many times already that I have had something spoiled for me, be it a television series I have yet to watch, a book I have yet to buy and read, a movie still left to watch, or even a new music video for a certain Korean boy band that I follow and cry over. And all of these disgusting spoilers, that ruin my entertainment, come from the single source that is the Internet. I can't even innocently scroll through my dashboard on Tumblr to update my blog anymore without discovering five plot twists in which I have not yet been pleasantly surprised in, a death scene I least expected before it was my time to watch it, and maybe even a leaked practice video to a supposedly secret EXO comeback. Not only does this infuriate me to no end, but it also fuels the fires of my happiness in that someone created the "Spoiler Shield" app - a way to specifically block all of the spoilers you will find while going through your social media sites. Just simply input the subject you would not like to previously see before you invest the time to actually watch it, and the app will block all spoilers relating to it in real time so that going on your social media daily will never be a problem again. At last, I have found an app that will keep my eyes innocent to .gifs from Game of Thrones Season 4 so that I can now watch the show without it being ruined. The idea that this app will prevent me from stumbling over random spoilers greatly pleases me.

Everyone is familiar with the infamous Blue Screen of Death, right? Well, Windows 8 has revamped their ever so annoying alert. The error codes most commonly seen on computers when the feared Blue Screen appears are gone, replaced with a sad emoticon that still leaves you guessing what's wrong. It does tell you that the PC is rebooting, but not why. Still infuriating and rather pointless. :(

This article is about the Playstation 4.  It Lists the new technology added to the Playstation 4, such as its new graphics card, the new RAM, and  the new GPU.  It also talks about some of the new features such as the new "suspend mode", in which you basically put the gaming console into a "sleep-mode", in which it cuts out the start up sequences, and takes you directly to the game. Also, you now have the option to connect your PSN to your facebook.  Playstation has changed and updated their console very much from the previous installments, and because of this, Sony will have a distinct advantage in the upcoming console race that will come later this year.

We all know that Steve Jobs' death was a big impact on the computing environment, but now another CEO has passed away. Robert W. Galvin the CEO of Motorola has passed away on Oct 11 2011. Since 1959( when Robert Galvin became chairman) he's been the head of the company until 1990. He made 11Billion Dollars in that year alone. He died at the age of 89. He will be missed.
