It's too surprising that Apple actually beat Google. This survey asks the public to measure the most visible companies in the country, and last year Google was at the top number one. But this year Apple won with 85.62, and Google won with 82.82. Apple won with the most highest RQ score this year. It's surprising over all these years Apple beat Google, finally. This proves that Apple is way more well known than any other brands in the United States. 

This article is about how Apple's competition with Google is hurting both Apple and its users. The removal of Google maps and no Google+ integration in iOS6 is an example of this. It relates whats going today with Apple in 1985-1997 which had tried making many unsuccessful products. The author believes this has to do with its strong competition with Microsoft. This article is about the comparison of the old apple earphones and the new EarPods. Apple claims that the new EarPods sound as powerful as the expensive earphones invented in the world (example: Beats by Drake.. if that's what they're called). These new EarPods are as powerful as a expensive pair of earphone, but cost only 29$ and if you purchase any apple device (iPhone, iPod touch, etc.) these earbuds are free.  I have watched the video below, and some people say they can't tell a difference from the old earphone, while other people say it's a big difference. I have never used the EarPods before, but in my opinion I do think it would make a difference because technology is improving and becoming more successful. One little piece of technology can make a big difference in the world. Also, the customers have commented that these EarPods are more comfortable to fit into your ears. These EarPods are not a great device to repair. However, they are a low price so once your EarPods break, you could buy a new pair.

In the previous six months, Instagram use has septupled easily surpassing twitter.  The app use went from nine hundred thousand people per day to well over seven million.  Instagram is based around a mobile app and has no website.  Before the evidence of Instagram's epic 6 month growth, Silicon valley were obsessing over mobile-first development.  Twitter, who started mobile and then became a website is being shadowed by Instagram.  Many other mobile apps have expanded and surged like Instagram but they all died out.  Instagram has not died out yet however, because people seem to really enjoy looking at pictures and sending up their own.  Instagram users spend an average of four hours on it beating Twitter's average of three.  Many people think Instagram is a bad thing and is for "attention seekers" but I think it's a good thing.  People can express their emotions and feeling through pictures and it's not Facebook so that's a win-win situation.  However I don't use it.

This article is about how Apple plans to increase its music sales by bringing iTunes to Android and launching a paid music subscription service. Google has already brought their Google Play Music to iOS devices. Even though Apple takes up about 40% of the U.S. digital music market, it has declined in the double digits in the past few years. They plan to expand to Android and open its store to hundreds of millions of users. I don't think this will work good for Apple because there already so many other music services such as Spotify, Pandora, Beats Music and Google Play Music itself on Android, and most people these days just download their music online because they do not want to spend lots of money to buy a song or an album.

With an upcoming press conference, Amazon is expected to announce it's own tablet. Many features a re rumored to be on it. The big question is what has taken Amazon so long if they're in such a good position to release it. Edit: Announced yesterday

Remember those faster-than-light neutrinos? Great, now forget 'em. "A week ago the world went wild over CERN's tentative claim that it could make neutrinos travel faster than light." Now however a team of scientists at the  University of Groningen in the Netherlands have come up with an explanation on why neutrinos are not faster than light. The GPS satellites used to measure the departure and arrival times of the racing neutrinos were themselves subject to Einsteinian effects, because they were in motion relative to the experiment. Thus if the error was recalculated the error would have been by 64 nanoseconds, the number neutrinos supposed to beat photons by. 

Bose came out with some new headphones called the OE2, it is apparently just as comfortable and has just as good quality, as Dr.Dre, the difference is the price, instead of paying over $200 you pay about $150, are they trying to beat Dr.Dre.

This article discuses the fact that google TV is now getting a voice search. I think this is a very good thing because it would save a great deal of time for everyone while they are scrolling through google. You now do not need to spend countless minutes scrolling through pages and pages of information and finding what you need. The voice search will allows you to find the exact information you need at a certain point of time. Google's also adding Primetime, an unobtrusive improvement to the on-screen guide. In my opinion this would be a good addition to google. I and lots of other students use google for help with homework, assignments, and just general research. Now students will be able to find the exact information they need, and in a very short period of time.

China's unfaltering economy continues to feed national hunger for science. Unlike the Americans whom only seem to be satisfied with tea. China's purpose in space is unknown but if the Americans refuse to progress scientifically, then I guess we have to look to the new guy. However even china may not understand the true cost of space travel,maybe then they will look to their western friends. China's first module has been launched and completion of the heavenly palace is expected in 2020 with a manned moon mission sometime after.

Kind of funny from this perspective, here's the story: it all went down in Texas. 36-year-old Benito Apolinar posts an update, on Facebook, about the anniversary of his mother's death. Tragic enough for one day, right? Wrong. His wife of 15 years made no comment on the post. So what? Well, he allegedly beat her for it. Facebook, do you see what you do to people? And alcohol, as well?

Two days ago it has been reported that a 36 year old Texas man attacked his wife for not 'liking' his status on Facebook. Benito made a status update about the anniversary of his mother's death. Angry that his wife made no response he punched her in the cheek and pulled her hair under the influence of alcohol. He was later arrested and is scheduled to appear in court soon. Just how much is Facebook impacting our lives?!

Nokia has come out with their very own Stereo Headphones. They almost look like "Beats by Dr.Dre" but they do have their own look. In my opinion the headphones look really cool.
