The painting has a hidden woman's head which was revealed through X-ray technology. The materials that Van Gogh uses were mapped in the hidden paint layer. These materials were what brought about the hidden image. The article provides a picture of the painting and the hidden picture.

The viewpoint is that through Van Gogh's letters it is easy to see that he was trained to be creative. The article also outlines Van Gogh's life and creativity. Van Gogh's artwork is very creative, but in some of his works it is east to see where he repeats his creativity. Overall this article gives a full scope of everything Van Gogh with a definite emphasis on his artwork and creativity.

However, through his work he also inspired and influenced those same painters who inspired him to start. Overall, this article provides a strong base on why Van Gogh got started and what his work meant to other people. However, without those artists before him he would have never found his artistic style.

His drawings are found to have many different styles. Van Gogh uses the reed pen in a lot of his drawings to create these styles. The reed pen allows him to to draw staccato lines, dots, hooks, crochets and bars to represent perceptions of light and color. The landscape in his drawings that he drew towards the end of his life showed a lot of ferocity which the article examines.

Also provided is a make-up of paintings based on photos of artworks that he did. Another piece of information provided is the way in which Van Gogh's art can be viewed. Certain vantage points of his artwork provided different emotions and images which is why his art is so intriguing.

Mundy describes some popular features of surrealist painting. She talks in detail about how the painters of the period were influnced and how the painted their works. Breton's manifesto is also described in her writing. The article is long, detailed, and descriptive. It is a good source to use because it discusses what it means to be surreal in surrealist wirting and paintings.

This article talks about Berton's Manifesto and how he tried to improve and expand the movement. One way he tried to do this was by claiming Pablo Picasso as a Surrealist painter. The writing is very detailed and descriptive about the two artists and their ties with Surrealism. It is a long article but it provides quality information. This is a good article because it addresses the parameters of the Surrealist Movement.

One composer, Wilhelm Kempff, is particularly mentioned because he was best-known for his Beethoven-like style of music.

This article also discusses how much Beethoven's music was influenced by political events as well.

Beethoven was a German composer, who lived from 1795-1822.

It discusses the role of presenting consumption styles as a set of authenticity practices with three identified consumption styles which include the open talk and interaction that publicized the possession of punk goods, the apparent stylized presentation of punk appearance in references to what seemed to look, and the repeated display of knowledge about punk subculture. It mentions that the study has observed the punk scene at sites in southeastern city with establishments that host punk performances, and with art shows and parties that are attended by punk community. Also, it talks about the tone and influence behind certain works of both the literary and artistic aspect.

It even gives some philosophical references. This article is a great tool for understanding his techniques. The most valuable part of this article is the explaination of Picasso's techniques.
