This is the URL to my application supporting The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien for our second project...this is just a draft. I look forward to all of your feedback! I used Diigo to share it because for some reason this particular application builder was making it difficult to share on Wordpress, so I am making this work.

I decided to push this website on WordPress improvments to the group because unlike the first website I pushed, this site gives actual tutorials on the how tos. This website also list some other plug ins and features that were not listed on the other website.

This is a page that gives 20 tricks to improve your blog. I felt like it was very helpful and easy to follow.

This page will help me with Project #1 because it informs me on how to write instructions specifically on the web. It contains a lot of great information, including why knowing your audience is important, how to remain brief but be exact, how to select appropriate wording, and how to perfect the visual appeal of the instructions.

New Media: This is Wikipedia's definition of new media, in which accessibility and interactive abilities are prominent factors. This page provides a history and definition of the term and includes the various uses and effects of new media.

Defines new media and has links to further define key words in definition. Links you to our scholars write about new media, even Manovich.

This is a quick and easy resource to reference new media.

Tells you in DEPTH how to write a formal report. It also explains exactly what a formal report is and what it can be used for.

FORMAL REPORTS. This website gives good advice as to how to construct a proper formal report. That might be redundant. 

This is a good site with lots of good tips and tricks and resources provided in these videos.

I like this website because it gives some really great tips, and some examples of what not to do in your videos. The resumes they gave as examples were awful, but it was good to see what not to do.

This is a great website with 5 tips to create a video resume.

I really liked this website because it explains what different types of new media there are. You can click on each one and it will explain and give definitions. Then it gives ideas of how you can use the new media to spread the message of AIDS. This can work to spread any type of message across.

I thought this was a great tutorial on how to use photoshop to add texture to your photos.

This site tells you how to have individual page templates,how to use a static front page,and how to have multiple headers and footers and sidebars

I found this video helpful because I didn't realize there were different websites you could go to to get page layouts. It is a nice tutorial and very simple to follow.

This site gives great insight to the elements of design in regards to contrast and gives excellent visual examples. Even though the website is for a painter the same principles in designing paintings can and do apply to other forms of design.

This John Lovett site gives you an overview on all elements and principles of design, including contrast. The website is interactive because there are lessons on everything from how to use watercolors to improving tonal contrast.

I think this is interesting coming from people who develop and release email software what they find appropriate and deem 'good' to do in a business related email setting.

This was my favorite website out of all the one that I came across. This list was very well put together and it is presented in a very professional manner.

The best tip given is to not use email to avoid personal contact. Face to face time with a person is valuable and most of the time allows for better communication understanding.

New media is constantly being redefined because technology and forms of communication through technology are constantly evolving and developing.
