Balance is one of the important points the success of a design. Everyone loves the convenience to what they see. Balance in graphic design can be achieved by adjusting the visual weight of each element, both in terms of scale, color, contrast, etc.
Although this webpage isn't reallf long, I think it is simple and imformative about what alingment is. It also discusses the use of grids in graphic designs and it also explains the types of text alignments that are discussed in the book. Overall this website is short, simple and sweet but helpful.

This is a really really good website that talks about the design element of balance. It not only gives good definitions about the different types of balance, it also provides very good pictures that clearly demonstrate what balance is and how it is used in art as well as graphic design.
This site gave some great additional insights into how balance can be used in design. It was nice to get another perspective in addition to the book. It explained it effectively and in simpler terms. Definitely worth the read!
