This future course at a University wants to show how the human and the new machine are used for research and teaching. Their online learning method is used to incorporate different learning styles that are used in research with computational tools and networks that are connected throughout the world. This class is designed to prepare students in the humanities and social sciences that use new ways of thinking, teaching and learning. Their hoping with showing how online learning better educates students that it transforms higher education making it more meaningful to the present and future. After students have finished this course they will leave with many e-portfolio projects, public online writing, multimedia and collaborative productions.

This article discusses how African-American studies are merging with Digital Humanities at Duke University. The journalist explains the task is not entirely easy, for many of the black studies scholars are not willing to converge with digital humanities, because of their skepticism towards technology. Many of these scholars are older and accustomed to the 1960s Black studies model. A professor of Duke University explains the main challenge is to produce quality material that at the same time will contain critical apparatus.

The article explains the potential application of the SMI RED-m, an eye tracking device, in digital classrooms by explaining its use by the Humanities Lab of Lund University in Sweden. According to the article Lund University, in cooperation with other international researchers, installed 25 SMI RED-m devices to build a prototype digital classroom. By utilizing this eye tracking software, researcher sin the visual perception lab hope to analyze how children learn things in a classroom situation, particularly with regards to introducing new technology to the class room. The intent of the researchers is to use data collected from the project to better tailor educational materials to the abilities and interests of children.

This post focuses on the group Weigle Information Commons (WIC) and their thoughts and ideas after attending a Digital Humanities event titles "Libraries, Labs, and Classrooms: Locating the Digital Humanitites." The WIC fit into the categories discussed and expanded on the ideas presented at the event by asking themselves, "how can WIC promote DH projects among our students and faculty and provide the resources to make such studies come to life?" The WIC then outlines some ideas and projects they have to promote "digital publics" through digital humanities work.

Stanford's Lit. Lab is a collection of short-term research-based projects/experiments. It is a new 'project,' created in 2010 by Matthew Jockers and Franco Moretti. They make a note that all projects are collaborative, even if only one author is cited. The best way to describe this project is a collection of 'mini-research-based' projects/experiments presented in/through a "digital and quantitative nature."

This article introduces the DIGHUMLAB in Denmark. This laboratory is a collaboration between for major Danish universities and will make it much easier for researchers and students to search for and analyze material across research fields, national boundaries, and media. It will increase international collaboration of Danish scholars with the rest of the world for the sake of the humanities. The grant-funded project will help raise public awareness and interest in humanities research.

This is the main page of Stanford University's projects in digital humanities, mainly the Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA). CESTA is a digital humanities project comprised of several projects, that span a wide variety of content areas and use different approaches. Two of the three projects mentioned (Mapping the Republic of Letters and Spatial History Project) seem to be a collaborative research effort to digitally map a concept. The last project under CESTA, Literary Lab, seems to be an archive of papers, dissertaions, and research by the current students and staff members of Stanford.
