This topic just caught my attention because it sounds silly to me that there's actually a law against vibrators. Vibrators are not only meant for sexual reasons, but also for medical reasons, as stated in the article. A good argument was made on how it is ironic that guns are legal, yet a vibrator isn't legal in the state of Alabama;. Also, it raises a good question on what people are charged with if they possess a vibrator while passing through the state.

A group plans to burn Korans on 9/11 to show the dangers of Islam. This shows a lack of religous freedom in this country, as well as ignorance towards world religions. It's appalling to see this. If you don't want to practice Islam don't, but leave those who do alone.

This is a good article on why America should have a military draft. It talks about how if we had a military draft you wouldn't just see poor people joining to fight wars as a means of income. Everyone would have to fight, rich, or poor. It also reduce the amount of wars if all families rich and poor had the chance of loosing their children. Then we might rethink these wars. It gives a number of other good reasons our country should have a draft too.

The article goes over many of the issues that parents, teachers, and children are having with common core. Parents are noticing children having an increased stressed level which they attribute to common core. In the authors opinion, teachers are required to follow a script, for fear of job loss. Some programs have also been cut from school like PE and Music.

No six year old or any child should be stressed out about school until at least high school. The core is defiantly not a good thing to have for any education.

the fact that schools have to cut programs just to support this "teaching style/ criteria" is insane. Music and gym and various other activities are ways for kids to get out of the cultural norm of academia and express themselves. I cant even imagine what my school would of been like without those things.

Gun control and violence is always a popular topic in debates. However it goes nowhere. Those that are pro-gun control do not use valid facts to back up their reasoning on why parts of our freedoms should be taken away. It will never be harder or impossible for felons/bad people to find guns. Yes, they are wanting to confiscate guns. Buying a gun is not as easy as buying groceries, there are laws in place that restrict who can buy guns legally. Concealed carriers do stop mass shootings. On April 23, 2010 Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed Senate Bill 1070 into law. The controversial bill gives Arizona law enforcement the authority to stop people whom officers have "reasonable suspicion" of being in the country illegally, detain these individuals while verifying immigration status, and arrest undocumented immigrants for transfer to ICE custody. Depending on who you ask, the controversial bill is either anti-immigrant, unconstitutional or a blessing.

Since the choice to abort is one of the biggest reasons why people want to defund planned parenthood it is being looked at as more of a moral decision. The way democrats and republicans feel on this topic is completely different therefore has been making it harder to make the decision on it. Defunding planned parenthood for this reason would basically be taking away a women's right to choose.

I agree with your statement. It should ultimately be a women's choice and not let politicians decide a woman's decision. Everyone has a right to decide what is best for them without controversies and looking down at.

Government intrusion may be the reason for a drop in economic freedoms in the U.S. The more debt that is accumulated the more the average citizens will owe in the future. Over the years after Obama took office our rank has dropped in regards to economic freedom compared to other countries.

These voting laws that some states are trying to pass are pretty scary. This is definitely a good topic to explore.
