Gay marriage talks about both legal issues and social argument issues. Legal argument grab more attention because they involve civil and equal rights. Gay marriage should respected, no matter if people don't like the fact of gay marriage. People believe that gay marriage is harmful, but there is no prove. There are good reasons to legalized gay marriage because it would benefit us all.

I am all for gay marriage. I think if a couple is happy with one another then let them be happy. There are many benefits to being married and I think they should be allowed to get married.

to be honest in this day and age I cant even believe this is still an issue? I completely support gay marriage if they want to live together forever just like everyone else I say go right ahead.

This author has an argument against our Government on how there shouldn't be so many laws.

Greg Merle does a wonderful job of pointing out the facts that lead to the question are we really free? He lists a few restrictions the government puts on the American people.

"What is it that big government doesn't get about the "pursuit of happiness". We have to be free to make mistakes. We don't need laws designed to protect me from me, such as seat belt laws, trans fat laws, helmet laws, shower head water flow laws, etc. Did you know that there is actually a black market on certain toilets because the government wants to control how much you flush?  From a logical stand point, it's ridiculous."

This law was proposed in order to fight childhood obesity. It was vetoed, however. This is such a close argument I can see one going either direction, but it is a private company so they do have the right to regulate their own menu. Parents also have the right to make smart decisions.

Giving animals rights is about protecting them since they cannot speak up for themselves. We are their voice. We should not go around harming them or beating them. Some people have pets in their house and it amazes me how people can adopt an animal and then go and abuse them. They did not ask to be adopted by you to have you do that to them. They can feel, and they deserve to be happy and live their one life.

This is one of the largest growing controversies in the United States. We have a lot of stubborn and close-minded people in this great nation. We all just need to open our hearts a little and accept these people and try to realize where they are coming from. They just want to be able to be happy like anyone would; and be able to marry the one that they love. People say it goes against tradition, and what marriage is valued as...between a man & woman. There are so many traditions that have been changed or forgotten in this day and age, and I am sure that letting these people marry who they want and where they want, isn't going to lead to something horrible. I think that some of us just need to really be educated and try to feel for these people who just want the opportunity to solidify their love for one another with Marraige.

This article talks about how marriage is the foundation of human civilization and the effects of redefining marriage. Forty-one states agree that marriage is between a man and a woman and children need a mother and a father.

My personal belief is that marriage is to be between a man and a woman, however, I also believe that is it not my place to judge anyone. Who am I to tell someone who to love? These days marriages that last are rare. If a same sex couple love each other and are happy together, I think they should be able to be married. There are a lot of same sex couple who have lived together as couple for a lot longer than most marriages last.

And what are the consequences of redefining marriage?" it blew my mind a little, because it is challenging every American to think about marriage. Not just as a sex (male or Female) thing but as a whole.

Sex reassignment surgery is for both transsexuals and transgender people who want to change their sex by the means of a surgical procedure. A lot of steps need to be taken before such a procedure is done. Everything from psychological testing to hormone therapy is required. Most patients are happy with their surgery but admit that it does not help them function better psychologically.

This yes or no article sums up why same sex marriage should or should not be legalized. With each yes and no they provide a detailed reason supporting it. When it came down to it, the yes column won with 9 reason why they should be allowed to marry while the no column only had 6 reason.

Same sex marriage also want families just like traditional marriage. Adopt increases in gay couples because they can not have kids the natural way. This way benefits adoption and kids around the world. Although, people say that gay couples don't help childern develop. However, same - sex adoptions have yet to become widespread.

Gay couples should be able to get married due to many reasons. First things first marriage is about love, and if a law is the only thing holding a couple back is wrong. It does not hurt anyone, and everyone should be allowed to be happy.
