This site is based on some recent changes undergoing in school campus. The state of Florida has banned smoking on their university campus and many more states are considering passing this new policy.

As bans on smoking sweep the USA, an increasing number of employers - primarily hospitals - are also imposing bans on smokers. They won't hire applicants whose urine tests positive for nicotine use, whether cigarettes, smokeless tobacco or even patches. Smokers are not only getting the cold shoulder from non-smokers it can now depend on whether they are able to get hired as well. Employers are now asking new hires if they are smokers or not, and if there is evidence in their urine of tobacco use it could damage their chances of getting hired.

Cigarette smilking and the exposeure of tobacco smoke has killed over 444,000 infants. This is an estimation each year.

Anti-tobacco forces are opening a new front in the war against smoking by banning it in private places such as homes and cars when children are present. The writer of this article is the executive director of Law Enforcement against Prohibition and he also on narcotics policing in Maryland, and he wants Marijuana legalized. And I have to say that I agree with him all the way on this. Alot of the time we do things because we know we aren't supposed to, and it makes it that much more exciting. So, in legalizing marijuana he believes that it will reduce the crime. Every year thousands of people are murdered over battling for drug turfs. In legalizing the drug, you would eliminate the middle man, and all the danger that comes with that. Instead, you could buy it in the store or a specialty shop like you would tobacco. I say lets get this ball rollin'!

I believe that smoking should be kept away from others.

The only way to isolate the situation I believe would be to make cigarette illegal. The government will never let that happen though because of the amount of money tobacco produces for them. Until that day, we will still continue to see people suffer and die from smoking.

Non smokers can inhale secondhand smoke from being around smokers in public places. Even small amounts of secondhand smoke can lead to serious medical problems such as cancer. States have already started placing bans and restrictions at parks, hospitals, and other public areas.
