A new law in Alabama requiring officials to check the immigration status of students has left a lot of families scared to send their children to school. In Montgomery County, some 200 Hispanic students were absent and a few others had withdrew only a day after the law was put in place.

Arizona's new immigration law signed into effect by Gov. Jan Brewer. Will all dark skinned people with Latino/Mexican/Hispanic features have to carry proof of citizenship for fear of being stopped? This article outlines racial profiling and how it is a violation of fundamental principals of our constitution. It's targeting brown mexican/hispanics because of the illegal immigration; and the arab americans because of 911. We all have a right to live our lives in peace without having authorites watching us because of our physical features.
