The subject of the child obesity epidemic has been high in the last 4 years. Did the government have to right to force what is or isnt allowed to be served, sold, and purchased on school campuses? This artical has it all explained pretty well.

New York City Mayor is trying to ban sugar drinks that are larger than 16 ounces because it is one of the main causes of obesity. People argue that although they agree with the fact that soft drinks are indeed unhealthy, the government should protect the freedom of the people.

taking away the drinks are going too far but the idea is right, obesity is a huge problem in the US and although it is an argument of freedom to eat, drink etc whatever you may please but when it comes to health that is a whole differnt concern.

Is it important to us that our government looks at our Metadata? The government work's hard to Prove that our privacy is safe however they take liberties when it comes to private Phone Communications. The information they gather is much larger then we think.

If they "need" to look at our metadata it makes me wonder what they're doing with all our information.

In this day and age this is to be expected, the government is all about control, and when it comes to phone calls or even the internet they will do their best to control these places. Not siding with the government Im just stating their poor reasonings for doing this.

Gun control in my opinion should be regulated, not be taken away from the rights of Americans. Some people can be dangerous with huge amounts of firearms without regulations.

Pros and Cons for gun control

We do need stronger gun control laws, but either way I feel as if anyone now a days think its okay to have self defense as in automatically killing someone. Self defense is a mechanism as to which keeps oneself safe, as well as stopping the offender in a way that does not kill them, only stops; by saying that does not mean "go kill them" and that is what most people believe now a days is what self defense is, just by killing another individual.

Technology is advancing faster and faster every minute and privacy is something known of the past now in my opinion. One of my teachers told the class that everything you learn about computers during your freshman and sophomore years of college will most likely be outdated by your junior year - just to help realize how fast technology is actually growing. Individuals should be able to consume as much soda as they want. I think that there should be more education about how drinking soda in excess can lead to obesity. Maybe warning labels on soda to remind people of the effects of drinking sugary beverages. I think it is then up to each individual to make the decision of how much soda they consume.

I total understand the ban, since most Americans don't pay attention to the main ingredient in soda which is "high fructose corn syrup". Research has shown high fructose corn syrup is as addictive as cocaine yet there are no laws regulating the use and quantity of it in food and beverages. High consumption of high fructose corn syrup has been proven to cause obesity and diabetes. There's not enough public education regarding this ingredient to enable consumers to make intelligent choices when consuming beverages and lobbyist lobby the government to make sure it stays this way.

I think this ban is ridiculous controlling the amount of soda and sweetened drinks people consume is wrong. Although sugary drinks can be detrimental to health, people have the right to control and live their own lives according to what they think is best. I like how this article has statistics and shows how many people don't agree with this outrageous ban.

In this article it argues that a more strict gun control will not reduce crime. The NRA (National Rifle Association) said that gun owners are sports enthusiasts and not criminals. This article also points out that since the 1960's the government have been debating on the issue of gun control but nothing has changed. Neither side (Democratic and Conservative) are listening to each other, they are counteracting and arguing but not listening to each others beliefs on this issue, which is a main reason why this debate has been going on for so long.
