Open Educational Resources page provided by the California Learning Resource Network. Many resources for educators categorized by subject, standard, grade level, etc. Visitors can narrow searches by using the filter feature on the sidebar menu, or use the browse feature under the Open Resources Tab on the menu bar at the top of the screen to specify subject, grade, type of resource, etc.

Great article about an emerging piece of technology hardware. It made me wonder about the new types of hardware and software we will be using in the near future. The "Day Made of Glass2" video is about 6 min. long and worth watching. I saw the original "Day Made of Glass" video in 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cf7IL_eZ38 (also about 6 min.) The 2nd one is great because it shows how students and teachers can use the new technology. Enjoy! :-)

A great post that reminds readers about the transcendence of narrative writing across genres (and across subjects!) The teacher uses historical and science fiction as inspiration for her ELA students' writing projects, but ideas, such as the "What if . . ." digital presentation project she mentions from Larry Ferlazzo could be used in almost any subject. The author's ideas for having students prove their informational research are also very helpful. I loved reading the post, too. Her, "Nobody puts baby in a corner," quote made me laugh out loud.

Mr. Black's World History Page contains an entire year of World History class content within one site. This site contains information, lesson plans, hands on activities, and more. A teacher could use this site to teach an entire year of World History without going anywhere else for another resource. If you do use the site just give Mr. Black credit he obviously dedicated a serious amount of time creating this site.
