This website takes making PowerPoint presentations to a whole new level. Presentations can be created online and accessed anywhere there is a connection to the internet. Teachers can create a free account and set it to private if they wish. This is a great resource for not only presentations but creating digital storytelling

Teachers this is great what to bring fun and life to your PowerPoints its a new why to do them, its a lot of work at first but its pretty cool.

Thanks Tonga! I plan to use Prezi for the first time this weekend for one of my other courses. I like how a lot of resources out there are allowing users to save on their sites so that we don't have to carry our flashdrives around all the time and so others can collaborate with us! Free literary and reference materials. Over 30,000 titles available. It was mentioned in "Integrating Technology and Digital Media in the Classroom" (Shelly, Gunter, Gunter 2010), but I thought it was important enough to make another note of.

This online interactive game is geared toward second graders in the hopes of introducing and reinforcing economic concepts. Students begin by creating their bakery and selling items. They soon begin to realize that to sell an item they need the materials to make it. To get the materials, they need money to purchase them. The game is highly engaging, however, a several discussions on the economic concepts are needed before students begin to grasp them concretely.

This is a great website to learn about the currency of the United States. There are interactive games that allow students to learn more about currency past and present and even to try their hand at making their own. This website would fit in well in a history or social studies lesson and could be used for children in first through fifth grade.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) collects, analyzes and makes available data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. This site is very comprehensive and professional. For anyone interested in doing research.

As a beginning teacher this website helped me form center activities for my students. It gives you everything you need or it tells you what to get to make the activity complete. Just print cut and laminate! Great resource to get centers started and then just change out once kids are gaining mastery.

This is a very interesting concept of using digital learning at home and then having class time be used for project based work.

Yes! Flipped Classroom is a terrific concept. I have been really wanting to try it, but have not been able to make it around to creating the videos. A great site for videos is Khan Academy...maybe I should post that! :)
