This site offers a wealth of information and many great resources for teachers interested in using digital media for storytelling and other activities.  There are a number of very good, clear, screencast tutorials for teachers to use. Preview a few to see if you might be able to use them with your classes. I thought they were great for high school students, and they inspired me to think about creating my own screencasts for other tutorials! :-)

My preschool classroom is a play-based one, meaning that the kiddos are learning through play and exploration. In my opinion, technology in preschool really needs to enhance the children's learning experiences. So I'm very particular about what technological products come into the classroom!

This website provides amazing resources and lesson plans to teachers free of charge. There are online activities that students can complete as well from creating a book or cd cover to making a character biography cube.

A great resource for lesson plans that is aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. I've used it during my time as an undergraduate student, and found it very helpful.

A web site for students and teachers to explore. Young students can explore the virtual world of Dr. Seuss through activities and games. Also, teachers can integrate lesson plan activities related to Dr. Seuss books (ex. Earth Day lesson plan using the The Lorax).

Lit2Go is a free online collection of stories and poems in Mp3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified.

This interactive web site for students ranging from pre-K to eighth grade is published by Family Education Network. It offers skills practice in reading, math, and literacy. The web site even has books such as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and more. You will surely find activities and games for your students to enjoy!

Great interactive website for kids! Very educational and keeps the students engaged.

Subtweeting requires a level of facility with Twitter that is beyond some novice users, but the truly mean-spirited subtweet can be a destructive force. It should be understood by teachers and parents in order to protect students if for no other reason.

Reading Counts! lets teachers see if students are transferring instructional reading strategies for hard texts through their success with independent reading. This sounds like it could be very similar, or better than Accelerated Reader.
