This is another website that is part accessible for free, but there is a pay option to take advantage of the rest ($ per year). Scholastic offers lesson plans, worksheets, mini books, a whole section of "computer lab favorites" with learning activities students can do on the computer in 30 minutes or less, videos, a class homepage builder, and more. Building a whole unit (any subject) is made easy with the resources available on this site. There is even a special section for new teachers!

This is a great resource! I have an interactive whiteboard and the students love listening/viewing the online stories. I think it also shows a positive message from famous actors that reading is important. Thanks for sharing!

This website is provided through the Screen Actors Guild foundation. Stories are read by actors. There are about 25 stories geared more for younger children. They provide options to comment on the stories or buy the books.

If you are a sixth grade social studies teacher like myself, this is the place to go.Utah;s standards are pretty close to the Next Gen Sunshine State standards and you can go to this site and search for a standard and it has a lesson plan that you can download. This is a great site for cyber safety resources. The student sections are divided by grade chunks (elementary, middle, and high school). Each section has age appropriate videos and games regarding cyber safety. The teacher section contains lesson plans to help teachers present the material to their different audiences.

This website compiles games from around the Internet in one location. Each of the games correlates with topics learned in physics lessons. The games are entertaining for the students but also provide teachers with springboards into more difficult topics like gravity, force, motion, and Newton's Laws.

This is a great site with many kid friendly games. Most of the games have some correlation to math related topics. I find it best to preselect which games the students should play so as to enhance the lessons to be learned or alredy learned.

This is an educational site in which teachers will find a large collection of reading suggestions and materials for their students. The site lists all of the books found in the Young Patriots series, which is a series designed for children. It then goes on to provide additional websites and links for each specific Patriot and individual mentioned. As you explore a little further, you will find several short videos on each of these individuals that can be used as great lead ins to any lesson about these Patriots. I found this cite to be very easy to use and navigate through, and filled with great resources and content.

The Smithsonian website is an educational that provides links and activities for both educators and students. This site provides educational content for educators which they can easily access and use within their classrooms. It provides videos, interactive games and additional links for students to navigate their way through in order to gain a greater understanding of history and art. It is a great site that can truly help enhance to overall content of one's lesson.

Pete's Power Point contains hundreds of free Power Point presentations on all core subjects for both primary and secondary educators. All of the Power Points can be downloaded and used as is, or you can alter them to fit your lesson and teaching style.    

This website is definitely worth bookmarking! There are numerous premade PowerPoints for all content areas. It would be very helpful for anyone who has a projector or uses a TV for instruction. These PowerPoints could be used as an introduction or for reviewing content before an assessment.
