I like advertising when it answers my questions at the moment I have them. Kicklight.com does that really well with videos, e.g. YouTube. Beyond advertising this has some great video based training potential. Kicklight opens the door to a simple approach: raise a provocative question via video and simultaneously link to more information. Here's a sample one for Amazon's Mp3 Downloads http://tinyurl.com/cfgdqs
Article on Communities of Purpose, web2.0 as an adaptive system, the implications for value creation, and predictions of continued evolution. This was written with a lens on marketing/brand value and monitization potential, but there's a clear link to web2.0 in learning space.
This site seeks to give a way into the wealth of government data. As highlighted by the Power of Information Taskforce, this means it needs to be:
* easy to find;
* easy to licence; and
* easy to re-use.
We are drawing on the expertise and wisdom of Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Professor Nigel Shadbolt to publish government data as RDF - enabling data to be linked together.
An interesting article highlighting the traditional neglect of educational software by Silicon Valley; with links to companies doing innovative work, mostly outside the US.

A great countdown timer tool. Enter the date, time and title. The site generates a link for you to share or bookmark. So you can turn your browser off and come back to it, unlike many similar tools. Good for setting homework & essay deadlines.

I love this site. Every maths and business studies teacher should be using it. Children can buy and manage virtual shares at the London stock Exchange and the site is linked to real prices.

The ancient Egyptians didn't do much typing. But if they did I'm sure they would have appreciated this online hieroglyphic typewriter. Write your message and just print it out or email a link.
