What if? Reflections from the ACSA Conference - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
Last week I spent three days thinking about curriculum and all that it means to teaching and learning thanks to the Australian Curriculum Studies Association's biannual conference. It was three days of deeply thoughtful conversation and learning with just the right mix of academic research and ideas for grounded practice straight out of innovative classrooms and schools. With keynotes by Alan Reid, Dan Haesler, Bob Lingard, Robert Randall and Jan Owen combined with Masterclasses from some of Australia's leading educators there was much on offer. The biggest challenge was deciding which workshop you would attend when every session offered such outstanding opportunities.

Lessons from Schrödinger's Cat - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
There are some ideas which seem to translate nicely into fields of thought far from their point of origin. These are  ideas which shine a metaphorical light on concepts and allow us to develop a deeper understanding of that concept once we see it from a fresh perspective. Schrödinger's Cat is one such idea.

Realising the benefits of reflective practice - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
It is generally accepted that learning is enhanced by the inclusion of deliberate, reflective practice. Indeed the act of reflecting on the impact that our actions have towards the achievement of any goal (learning oriented or other) is shown to have a positive impact. Reflective practice is defined as the praxis (interdependent and integrated theory, practice, research, thought and action) of individuals or groups to move from 'better thinking to better action' as a result of reflection for, in and on learning (Harvey et al. 2010 p140). With this in mind, it is worth considering what reflective practice might look like and to consider it in a range of contemporary contexts.

Great Ideas For Healthy LunchBox | Best 10 schools in Tricity - 0 views

  •
As guardians and educators, we realize that lunch box is something extremely imperative for the school going children. The lunch box that a student takes to the school isn't only some other box - It's a pack brimming with affection, wellbeing, taste and a considerable measure of astounding recollections, making it one of the most prized possessions of a student's backpack! At the point when the lunch box is so imperative for the kids, it needs to have something uncommon in it consistently! Children frequently gripe of eating same old and exhausting stuff each day in the meal break. It's essential to break the dreariness of the tiffin now and again, and pack it up with some new and energizing nourishment! Here are a couple of crisp thoughts from Hallmark Public School - (the best school in Panchkula) for tiffin-accommodating nourishment for the school students.

How do you prioritise mental health at the workplace? - 0 views

  •
Why is prioritizing mental health so important for professionals, now more than ever? Professionals have been investing more 'work hours' than ever. This may be due to the changing essence of market goals and priorities, along with how integrated we are nowadays. The 'always-on' working community, which is particularly widespread in diverse industries, relies on inadequate sleep, high-pressure conditions, running around time zones, high burden associated with turnover, and more. It is not unusual for employees to worry about burnout, anxiety associated with employment, and depression. There is a strong connection between pressure and productivity in the workplace. To feel safe, content, and efficient, we all need to have a certain level of involvement and pressure in our working lives. But if there isn't enough strain or too much, there could be a risk. The accompanying diagram illustrates the distinct areas associated with job strain. Mental health at workplace The relation between pressure, performance, and mental health: Rust Out Zone: It doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have enough to do or anything at all but that you find yourself often wondering if your work is intriguing or challenging enough. This leaves you feeling extremely disassociated and disengaged. Emotional Wellbeing Zone: You will be motivated, concentrated and invested in what you're doing when you face a fair level of challenge and responsibility in your career. You are likely to feel more secure, satisfied and therefore more confident over time producing successful results. Burn Out Zone: When conditions are extreme and last for prolonged periods of time, you may be at risk of burn-out and, inevitably, anxiety. Your commitment, enthusiasm and efficiency decline dramatically as this happens. People often claim that "when they're stressed/ under pressure, they work well", but this is clearly not the case. When you are challenged, oriented and committed, you can

The Future of Work - 0 views

  •
How are current socio technological changes impacting the future of work? New technology, global trends, and the effect of Covid-19 on the job force have fundamentally altered the way firms operate and the kinds of expertise their workers require to compete in this emerging period of employment. Despite the fact that we cannot foresee what the future has in store, certain adjustments are inevitable. You must brace for such developments as a forward-thinking professional or aspirant. Gig Economy Gig Economy: The term 'gig' refers to a job model in which contractors are recruited and paid on a project-by-project basis. Gone are the days of doing a strap task from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gig economy helps people to save multiple hours per day to make the most of the one and only scarce asset that they have time. Employee Well-Being Employee Well-Being is the topmost priority: While more people are operating remotely for extended periods of time, organisations can concentrate on ways to improve relationships and reduce mental tension. As organizations adapt, building mentally healthy workplaces will become even more relevant and complex. Also, working remotely and loneliness could have a detrimental impact on workers' mental wellbeing. Employee morale will suffer if they are not in good health. Several anal believe that employers will put a stronger emphasis on mental wellbeing and employee welfare. Intuitive and Appropriate Strategy Intuitive and Appropriate Strategy: Although meetings through online platforms like Zoom and Google Meet have been a constant throughout the pandemic but this restricted mode of communication the essence of being connected to colleagues and friends has indeed been cruelly exposed. As a result, software companies often rose to the situation, implementing innovative methods to ensure workers involved when working remotely. Nvidia, for example, has prioritized human speech over the context of video calls, resulting in substantial data s
