Interesting Ways… | ICT in my Classroom - 0 views

  •
My Interesting Ways to Use series has been really successful. I measure their success in how useful they are to teachers and other educators in helping with professional development. I say "My" in the loosest sense of ownership really, as with all of the presentations they belong to us all. I just kickstart them and point them off in the right direction. They have been a great example of crowdsourcing good quality classroom ideas and it has been great fun connecting with all of the people who have taken time to add an idea. It is remarkable what can be achieved and created together if you give people the right way to do it. Thanks for all the help so far.

What Does the Network Mean to You? » open thinking - 1 views

  •
I'm presenting to my colleagues at the Faculty of Education, University of Regina this coming Wednesday on the potential for networked learning in teacher education, K-12 and higher education. Inspired by a very recent initiative by Robin Ellis, I've decided to put up a Voicethread slide and ask for feedback from people on their experiences with networked/social learning.

The Staggering Size Of Today's Social Networks [Infographic] - Edudemic - 0 views

  •
As you'll see, Thomas' infographic shows the current size of major social networks as well as the other well-known online services we use on a daily basis relative to their peers. It also overlays the present size of each company's mobile user base. You'll see Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, MySpace, LinkedIn, and more. You can also check out the agency's infographic from last year to see the relative changes.

2 Minute Moodles on Vimeo - 0 views

  •
This is a collection of 2 Minute Moodles - an attempt to simplify and show how to use a range of Moodle features to a busy teacher. The tutorials try not to assume too much previous knowledge and are presented for the pragmatical and not necessarily tech-savy users (Moodle purists please excuse). They are a bit like that product I got the pun from - something quick and simple to get you going.
