This post is one I made on blogging - I'm going to update it, but it is still one that I think is useful for bloggers.

Tips on how to blog.

So, if you want twitter to automatically tweet (like when your class blog is updated,) then set up twitter feed to automatically post anything to twitter that has an RSS feed. I do this for my classroom to send my blog or any current information that students need to have.

Not sure when this list was made, but it is a comprehensive list of education blogs by technorati authority (which I know many ignore now, but yet, it does give you a list.)

Blogs for/by educators.

I love how tweetmeme lets me track this - my all time most tweeted blog post is this one from this past April about my favorite apps and tools. It is also the single longest blog post I've written in terms of time - topping about 10 hours of work!

The two things that have had the biggest impact on me as a teacher, are blogging and Twitter.  Blogging helps me to realize what I actually think.  It's the digital version of talking things out.  And Twitter keeps me fed.  For the past four months, the learning curve has been so sharp, that at times, I feel like I'm drinking from a fire hose.   But it has challenged me, and made me a better teacher.

There are many who don't care for this awards system because there are many great bloggers, but I think anything that recognizes educational blogging is a good thing. If you have a wordpress blog, this app - Poster - is an app that many seem to love for wordpress. Worth a download if you're on wordpress. (I use blogpress because it is compatible with blogger but this app looks more feature rich than blogpress.) I am thinking this would work with edublogs - it is worth a try for those of you blogging in a 1:1 ipad environment.
