This page provides a breakdown of videos within the Technology Integration Matrix by grade level. Although you may be primarily interested in a particular level, we encourage you to view the ways in which technology is used in other grade levels. For example, you will find videos of high school classrooms in which the technology tools could be used in the same way with middle school or elementary level students. Some videos involve students from both middle and high school grades and some involve students from both middle and elementary grades. These videos appear in both lists below.

I found the TIM framework a really useful way to think about how to integrate technology into my daily instructional practices. Having an understanding of where I sit in relation to the ACOT levels of Technology model helped to to recognise how far i've come in relation to my own understandings of how to use technologies effectively, but also how much opportunity there is far me to expand my knowledge.

This numeracy video was created for educational purposes and designed for students teachers and parents to use as a resource when teaching fractions in a junior primary setting. Our video aims to communicate the importance of numeracy as a life skill as it shows how numeracy can be used beyond the classroom. For example, real life situations such as baking a chocolate cake :)

This video could be used as part of numeracy learning experiences, either as a base to a numeracy lesson, lesson introduction, or lesson idea. It could also encorporate cross curricula links to subjects such as ICT and Home Economics!

We chose to use measurement for our numeracy video. We felt that measurement is an important numeracy skill used in everyday life. We believe we did this well. We met all criteria. For the first time we used the flip cameras, movie-maker and youtube to: create, edit and upload our video. We thoroughly enjoyed this process and felt it was an interesting assignment. :)

This is a video set at the Royal Adelaide Show 2011 with a focus on numeracy and how it can be linked to the community. In this video a teacher models how to solve a range of problems related to buying showbags. This video is a fantastic teaching resource as it enables the teacher to pause the video at specified points to allow the students time to complete the answer to the question posed.

This is video is based around money and it relates to our everyday life. We are surrounded with numeracy everywhere we go.

In a more advanced lesson, volume can also be taught as well as weight and size. This is a video aiming for Primary School students but can be adapted and modified for older students.
