Three Different Learning Styles - 0 views

  •
Costs - no costs to this straight forward learning-style resource. Usability - just one page with three links easy as pie. Great learning tools with an actual test to determine your personal learning style - students could and should take this test as well. Aesthetically it is not much to look at but serves its purpose. Content is right on point and in your face. This resource is appropriate for middle school and above. There is no support available for this one page resource - it is what you get and you get what it is - I really love the simplicity of this site.

Voxy - 1 views

  •
I came across this website not too long ago and was surprised by the type of approach it uses to help ESL students learn English. Voxy uses current articles from world news, pop culture, as well as sports to help students learn. This would be a great tool that can be used in an ESL classroom. As the student reads an article, s(he) can click on highlighted words in the text and hear the words pronounced. By clicking the highlighted words, they also become automatically generated into a vocabulary list that the students could learn. The lists could very well be used for quizzes and games. The website is available in both English and Spanish. It is free and very easy to use. Check it out.

ABCya! Learn the Skeletal System - Label the Bones - 0 views

  •
This is a free website that allows students to put together a human skeleton. It is easy to use and is visually appealing. It is an effective learning tool that students would enjoy using because it is a game. Although students label the bones of the body, there is no information about the bones. This would be an ideal game for students who are learning about the body (probably 4th grade and above). There is a contact page for user comments and questions on the abcya.com homepage.
