ABCya! Learn the Skeletal System - Label the Bones - 0 views

  •
This is a free website that allows students to put together a human skeleton. It is easy to use and is visually appealing. It is an effective learning tool that students would enjoy using because it is a game. Although students label the bones of the body, there is no information about the bones. This would be an ideal game for students who are learning about the body (probably 4th grade and above). There is a contact page for user comments and questions on the abcya.com homepage.

Learning for Kids - Blood Learning Object - 0 views

This is a free tool to help children learn about bones. It would be appealing for students to use, but could use more color and graphics. It is easy to use and would be an effective tool for students between 3rd and 5th grade. In addition, the content is accurate and simplified. There is a "Contact Us" page that can be accessed by going to the www.e-learningforkid.org homepage for users to submit comments or questions.

Google Body Browser - 0 views

This is a demo website released by Google that is free to use and it gives a 360 degree view of the human body. Students can turn on layers to see bones, muscles, organs, and the nervous system. In addition, every time the student clicks on a body part, a label with the proper name of the body part appears. It is a great learning tool, but one problem that I found is that some web browsers such as Firefox do not seem to support the WebGL, which is a new standard for 3D on the web.
