The aim of this study is to reveal how well online communities of practice (oCoPs) help teachers share explicit knowledge and bring their tacit knowledge to the surface.
This is our paper with Hakan Hoca (my master advisor) about Fatih Project. It discusses how we can implement a technology-rich learning environment and whether we can implement in schools involved in FATİH Project
The 2015 Mobile Learning Trends Infographic explores what role mobiles are playing in shaping up the workplace learning scenario. These trends with mobile learning are evidence to the fact that we are on the brink of a new era of learning - through the mobile device.
Dear Mine,
For example if you create a quiz using Quizizz for your class, once they finish it, you will see the analytics of your students; such as their rankings, which questions they got right and wrong etc. You can also download them as a pdf or xls file later on to focus on the students' specific needs :)
The results of the current study show that teachers involved in Fatih Project were especially content with being able to make their lessons visually more appealing for their students. They were, however, not satisfied with the in-service training provided, especially in understanding ways to effectively integrate the technologies into their teaching, and the limitations put upon Internet access from the tablets. The impacts of these tools on their teaching practices were very minimal.
It is an article about use of infrographic for introduction to Criminal Justice Course. It is taken from International Journal on New Trends in Education and Tehir Implication(IJONTE).
You can use this wheel while choosing the appropriate apps when designing your PDs.
I planned to print this and distribute it after my presentation, but its better to put it here and don't waste papers :)
These tools are included in a master thesis written by Muhammad Fauzan Ansyari in 2012. His study used different data collection tools such as TPACK and TAC questionnaires, a lesson plan rubric adapted from Harris, Grandgenett, and Hofer's Technology Integration Assessment Rubric, interviews about TPACK, and the researcher's logbook. They can be found in Appendices part of this thesis.
This article written by Ann D. Thompson and Punya Mishra tells briefly how TPACK evolved from TPCK. I especially liked the "total PACKage" idea presenting the knowledge of Content, Pedagogy, And Technology as a whole.
This paper is written to help in-service English teachers in terms of integrating Computer-Assisted Language Learning into their classrooms. It basically explains the principles and significance of TPACK and offers a workshop in which all these are told for English teachers. It proposes the steps of "modeling, analysis, demonstration, application, and reflection" in order to utilize instructional technologies according to learner and teacher needs.
It is interesting to notice that this research study has also similar findings in terms of the problems and weaknesses in FATIH Project. It was conducted with information technologies guide teachers and it reached similar results as the lack of training for both teachers and students, and the lack of required materials to be used by both teachers and students.
I could not tweet because of the problems in my Twitter account; that is why, I would like to share the resources I have found here. :) This research study aims to learn about classroom teachers point of views about FATIH Project. Half of the teachers think that the project will be a failure because of technical problems of tablets, lack of teacher's technological competency and the training of teachers. However, they think that the project may help students in terms of not carrying heavy bags and providing a better, tehcnology-enriched learning atmosphere.
I could not reach my tweets under our hashtag on Twitter. :( Therefore, I wanted to share two sources for this week's discussion about mobile learning. This one is a research study for pre-service math teachers who utilize mobile learning through IPADs. It has quite promising and positive results!
