Discipline Help: You Can Handle Them All - 0 views

  •
This is a great website that explains all types of discipline issues that may be encountered as a teacher or a parent. Each behavior is broken down through various characteristics displayed by different types of children. The site then enables the user to find alternatives to correcting the issues. Basic human needs are explained though each characteristic which can then be understood and converted into a solution by providing a better approach to meeting these needs of the child other than through their display of misbehavior.

I thought it was interesting to hear that the first six years of teaching will largely determine the nature of a child's attitude towards authority and the educationaly attitude they carrying forward into middle and high school. I totally agreed. Also this article talks about using the firm hand with the teacher who is consistent and with the truly caring attitude. The article also goes on the say that even if teachers do everything right there is still going to be a problem because of the problems that are occurring in our society can not always be solved in the classroom
