Dr. Shore has a Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Psychology. He provides practical information on how to deal with different classroom management issues through is articles "Classroom Problem Solver." This particular article focuses on a particularly difficult topic: Unmotivated Students. I have found personally that this is one of the most difficult issues to deal with. Dr. Shore promotes the philosophy of using positive reinforcements to show students that they can accomplish academic success.

Dr. Mills gives theories of classroom management using a Biblical perspective for teachers in private, religious organizations. Much of this can be applied to public school teachers. It provides practical ways in dealing with students who can be disruptive and even a danger to other students in the classroom. It also provides a list of of positive and negative behaviors that can be handed out to students to make them more accountable to their fellow classmates and the teacher.

    This is a great website that explains all types of discipline issues that may be encountered as a teacher or a parent. Each behavior is broken down through various characteristics displayed by different types of children. The site then enables the user to find alternatives to correcting the issues. Basic human needs are explained though each characteristic which can then be understood and converted into a solution by providing a better approach to meeting these needs of the child other than through their display of misbehavior.

    This a great tool to use and has many different ideas to use for classroom management. It's essential to start off on the right foot in the classroom and continue good behavior throughout the entire school year. The website gives numerous tips on involving parents in your students homework to using rewards to promote good behavior. It also provided various ways in dealing with poor behavior and utilizing your time to get more teaching and learning in opposed to spending more time with discipline issues.
