I like the visual in this post. It offers a technology integration matrix that looks at the idea of embedding technology at the curriculum level. Along the top are the levels/stages of the integration of technology in learning whilst on the left side are the descriptors of what each level might look like in the classroom.

Google Image Swirl organizes image search results based on their visual and semantic similarities and presents them in an intuitive exploratory interface.

DeweyDigger.com is a visual search portal where you can "Explore knowledge via the Dewey Decimal Classification; just clickety-click."  On the splash page you are presented with the main Dewey Numbers and an ever-changing interactive panorama showing images from these listings.  Next you need to click on an image to access a cloud tag of terms in that call number.  From there you can select a tag and then select a search or research tool to locate information.

Standalone app for the visualisation of world data by various measures. Some data sets span a number of decades. Very useful for discussing global trends. eg energy use, medical stats, forestation etc

You can have some great control over the tag/word clouds you create. EducationEye allows the user to discover, explore and share new ideas. It maps hundreds of top educational websites, blogs, forums and case studies to provide up to date information about innovative ideas being explored in the education community. The information is then present in a visual format that is itself interactive. Type in your search term and let it find the relevant articles, websites or links. This is a innovative tool from Futurelab and well worth a visit
