Looking back through the new 2015capabilities in Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, and Google Apps for Education, it is amazing to see how innovation has happened over the last 11 months. From automated chart creation to cross-domain collaboration in Google Classroom, it was easy to miss one of the additions if you so much as blinked. List here are many of these updates.

Short videos from YouTube and other sources can be quite helpful in introducing topics to students and or reinforcing concepts that you have taught. Watching the video can be enough for some students, it's better if we can call students' attention to specific sections of videos while they are watching them. However they might be just the tool to spark interest, creativity or make learning easier for students in the classroom or beyond.

You can use this to create some unique shows with animation and audio in real time. Iti s easy to pick out actors and backdrops, drag them on to the stage, and tap record. Movements and audio are recorded in real time for later playback. The free version is limited but the add-ons aren't too expensive if you are careful about your choices. I like the idea of being able to use people and things from my own photos.
