I have had a lot of fun with this. There is a new ward callendar and directory that are far easier to use and add to then the old calendars and are far more efficent. Also, as a Ward Executive Secretary it allows me to get on to a large chunk of the MLS enabling me to get most of my work done without having to kick the Ward Clerk off of the churches computers.

So cool! I love this. We just went over all this in church. You gotta love having the best calling!

Very interesting talk on the growth of computers and computing power - its evolution - and how it will help us to evolve. All in all a great site to learn about our digital culture!!!!

Following the idea of a media fast

I liked one of the comments made, "I have no dependence on media interaction, but I certainly revel in it. I feel priveliged to have the opportunity to have so much access to so much information. If it was taken away, certainly I would feel deprived. What if took away your kettle and made you boil your cup of tea in a saucepan? You'd be pretty miffed no doubt. It's all about what you're used to and the disruption to that routine."

I love PBS. They always have good, interesting info about whatever topic.

It is fascinating to scroll through his paintings and see how they changed over the years. If you read his biography on this same site the changes in his paintings make sense.

A great paper exploring relativism.

This is a two-set video explaining the origins of WWI. The first part explains the background of the situation and what's going on in Europe/Asia and then in part two it dives into the war and the multiple alliances which were obligated to get involved.

Very good article about how important it is for scientists to be blogging -- how much opportunity it opens for them.
