Australian parents have spent up big equipping their kids with the latest
gadgets ahead of the new school year but many have failed to equip them with
cyber-skills new Telstra research has revealed.
More than a third of Australian parents surveyed with children aged 10 to 17
will send a child to school this year with both a laptop computer and a mobile
phone.
The research, however, revealed that many of these parents haven’t set aside
time to talk to their kids about cyber-safety issues such as protecting their
privacy and managing approaches from cyber-bullies.
