Donald Trump calls for ban - 0 views

  •
President Donald Trump calls for a immigration ban for specific countries. Why would the President do something that effects millions of Americans. How will the rest of the world look at the United States after the ban.
  •
Our country used to be a place where people came to be free and escape from the dangers of their country, but now they wouldn't feel safe here either.

Arizonans react to Trump's Immigration ban - 2 views

This article describes President Trumps ban on immigration. It describes that President Trump put a temporary ban on seven Muslim countries. Not only are Muslims not allowed to enter the U.S. but U.S. citizens are not allowed to re-enter the United states from those 7 Muslim countries.

I posted a similar article that went into depth about a certain airport. I can't believe that it also banned U.S. citizens from re-entering as well. It really is mind blowing.

This article is another one about the Immigration issue we are facing. Since he put this temporary ban, there are people who are here legally in this country trying to travel, but then get detained at the airport just because of where they are coming from. This is not okay. I find this infuriating.

This whole scenario is mind-blowing and shows what kind of person he is. How can he sit there and deny U.S CITIZENS re-entry to their country?! Makes me sick how intolerant some people still are. I think about the world my daughters will have to grow up in and it scares me.

Not trying to be rude or anything but Trump is obviously not try to have people actually like him as the new president. To ban people who have green cards from re-enrtering the U.S is very wrong.

How Trump's Rush to Enact an Immigration Ban Unleashed Global Chaos - 0 views

  •
This article is talking about the immigration ban. Again Donald Trump is starting a chaotic mess that isn't necessary. We are the land of the free where many people come to escape their countries where they are treated terribly. Now we aren't a place for those people to feel safe.

I feel our Presidents immigration policy is a double edged sword. I agree that we need to protect our boarders but I feel that he is going to far with his executive orders and way too fast. We don't need the world to hate us any more then they already do.

An article from ABC News about chaos and protests erupting in the wake of President Trump's Immigration order, which some are calling the Muslim ban. People have been held at airports across several countries. Some people are facing deportations, while others are returned to their families after considerable delays.

JAN 28, 2017 - Several Oklahoma social justice groups including the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, Council on American-Islamic Relations-Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice, shared statements expressing their opposition to the ban on immigration recently imposed by the U.S.

This is something that is really hitting the US right now. Trump has issued the ban on immigration, and this isn't right. There are so many people that are standing up to that.

Trump's Illegal Immigration Ban Threatens All of Us | The Huffington Post - 0 views

A view that Trump is going against the Constitution and being Un-American by restricting Muslim immigration into America. States that it goes against our heritage and history and should be opposed, because there are no facts to back up that it would increase terrorism.

Trump's Executive Order on Immigration: What We Know and What We Don't - 1 views

  •
This article breaks down the executive order signed by President Trump on banning refugees from middle eastern countries. It also talks about what we haven't found out about the order itself like if airports are complying with the order.
  •
Immigration is a very sensitive topic in the current political climate. There are many benefits to this executive order, and many consequences. National Security is something that out-scopes us all in my opinion, but staying as close to the information power curve as possible with sound sources is a great place to start. I would however question the validity of the NYT (New York Times), only on the grounds of ill reporting. Following the presidential election, the NYT issued an apology for misreporting the polls during the election. I am of the opinion that when dealing with such an emotionally fueled topic, Primary Sources are the only sources that yield direct information. Perhaps you could have sited an administration member or even an analytical specialist assessing the direct executive order. In the end however, I am not the instructor. Great topic!

Banning Muslims won't stop terrorism threats - 2 views

  •
Trump bans Muslim targeted countries. Did he ban the wrong countries? Most of the terrorist attacks that have happened here in America have been done by born U.S. citizens
  •
I think this article is not very scholarly, but they made good points about the origins of some of these terrorists.

According to Benjamin Franklin, Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Secondly, it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, etc.
