This is a book that goes over the history of white feminism. It goes back to when feminism that is known today started. It talks about the tension between white feminist leaders and civil rights leaders.

The article goes over women's rights to choose. Pro choice and how society does not have the right to tell a woman what to do with her body.

Domestic violence is usually shown as man being the abusive and dominant partner. Over the past four decades, research shows that the self-reported abuse is equal between men and women. A study by Professor John Archer of the University of Central Lancashire said that men and women are equally likely to commit domestic violence, however severe injuries more commonly affect woman.

In this day and age of equality, this just goes to show how wrong that is. Women are being unfairly paid less than their male counterparts, despite the fact that the education, skills and contribution are the same, or sometimes better.

Though concerning issues of race and police brutality, feminism and gender have been at the forefront of deeply important work. Aging also is a cornerstone for social justice activism on its own terms.

As much as our women's rights laws have changed in the past years,other countries have not come as far. Some countries,however,are moving small strides towards better days for women. Lebanon's parliament has repealed their "rape law" which allows rapists to escape imprisonment if they marry their victim. Passing the law is just the first step though,applying the law is going to take time and effort.

This article was quite informative and tragic to read, seeing as women are still being treated as less in other countries. While the United States harbors its own cases of gender inequality, women in other countries are faced with injustices they cannot fight on behalf of misogynistic views. While feminism has grown largely within the United States, it seems to lack intersectionalism, which excludes the rights of women in countries ran by a patriarch. I think that this article displays the wrong in the world that can be acknowledged by men women, feminists and non-feminists.
