Euthanasia mean should a person suffering from an illness be able to decide when they die? The web site demonstrates all the pros and cons to what assisted suicide is.
I like the view this article has because I don't necessarily agree or disagree with the death penalty. It's probably important to assess all the various sides to such a controversial issue.
Wow! This is a topic I didn't even think of researching but is so interesting. You have definitely sparked my interest and I'm beginning to like this assignment more and more! Thank you for thinking outside the box!
This website states the opinions of those who support physician assisted suicide as well as those who oppose it. This is a social justice issue because a patient who is very ill and suffering should have the right to physician assisted suicide.
This is something only me and my close friends can really talk about! In my opinion i believe yes but maybe rules should be added like approval from the family or a doctors approval.
I have also found this topic interesting and very controversial. I have to say I'm on the fence here because as a healthcare worker, I do see some very sad situations within patients and their families. However, if someone is so sick to where they would want to end their life it is hard to say if they're in the right mind to make a decision like that.
Physician Assisted suicide should be treated like abortion from my prospective. It should be heavily considered and heavily regulated and substantial counseling should go into leading up to the event itself. One thing to consider if you refuse someone to go out on their own terms, is they may find another way which may not result in a peacful passing for them.
I think that this topic of Physician-Assisted Suicide takes the topic of suicide that we find extremely tragic and makes it okay. This idea of allowing people the choice to die with the assistance of a physician is just as tragic as people committing suicide.
I like this source because it shows both sides of the issue. Not to mention how much information has. I feel like I could spend all night reading this.
If someone is very ill and there is nothing that anyone can do to help they should have the right end there own lives. It's horrible having to live long days, suffering and waiting for your life to end.
Giving the rights to people who look death in the face and want to shorten the time they have to suffer. Euthanasia gives people the right to die with dignity in which they choose to take their own lives'.
This article describes the rights all citizens should have to die peacefully of their own accord. According to this article, a physician-assisted suicide will give people the benefit of dying painlessly and ultimately having jurisdiction over their death.
This site focuses on the death with dignity view. It highlights the life of a person who was diagnosed with a fatal form of cancer. This individual decided to end her life.
Claire Andre and Manuel Velasquez of Santa Clara University discuss Assisted Suicide. An examination of the question is assisted sucide right or wrong?
Website first tells the story of a man named Matthew Donnelly who developed skin cancer and his brother that was tried for murder after shooting his brother despite Matthew wanting to die. It then goes into why assisted suicide should be allowed and then why it should not be. Finally, it brings up a good point that assisting in the death of someone might violate the beliefs of those that might be required to assist.
Original: Up through the early 1920's, diphtheria was one of the most dreaded childhood diseases in the United States, killing over 10,000 people every year. We started vaccinating children against diphtheria in the 1930's and 40's, and the disease started disappearing. Today it is rare for a doctor even to see a case of diphtheria, much less have a child die from it.
Paraphrase: Killing over 10,000 people a year in the U.S, diphtheria proved to be one of the most feared youth diseases up until the early 1920's. Once doctors began vaccinating children for diphtheria in the 1930's the disease began to vanish. In today's world it is rare for a doctor to see a patient with diphtheria thanks to common vaccinations.
It is evident that a major threat to our personal privacy, and the possible infringement of our rights are increasing due to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles "UAV's" in U.S airspace.
I found this article pretty interesting. I never really realized that were were using the UAV's until my sister in law started flyng one. She is a pilot in the air force and flys the UAV's into enemy territory from her basement in South Dakota. I feel in this case that it is a valuable asset. Atleast we are saving our lives by using that instead of sending soldiers to die.
This page is a general reference for euthanasia which cites specific U.S. court cases on the topic. It contains an even pro vs. con list that shows the facts of both sides without picking a side.
