Two sea turtles became stranded on Cape Cod during the cold spell and have lost circulation in their front flippers, their appetite, and their energy. Acupuncturist Claire Macmanus has been working on these turtles to restore what they have lost through acupuncture in their front flippers and neck so that they can be returned to the wild.

A 200 pound female black bear climbed up a tree in Colorado Springs. Because the area was quite populated, animal control and the police wanted to get her down to relocate her. Almost five hours after she was found firefighters used a tall ladder truck to get her down off of the tree.

Ross Turnbull is a back up goalie for the Chealsea soccer team. It is unsure whether he will be suspended for putting a "foreign" substance of the new ball to help his pitching.

Shin Dong-hyuk was born on Camp 14 (an infamous prison camp in North Korea), which is one of the cruelest in the system of hard labor camps there.His parents never knew each other and were forced to be married. Shin grew up with nothing more than beatings, torture, and snitching that were part of everyday life at the camp. He did many things to stay alive includding eating roasted rats to stay alive. Then when a fellow inmate was very nice, showed him a glimpse of the outside world that he had never seen. Shin escaped when he was 23 years old in search of some food. From the camp he made it to China and eventually down into Seoul, South Korea where he was given refuge.

In November of 2009, Major Nidal Hasan went into Fort Hood in Dallas and started shooting up the place. 17 people were killed and 32 people severely injured. An eleven year old boy in Spain did not have very good grades the past couple weeks. So in order for his parents not to meet his teacher, he faked being kidnapped. He sent a text message to his father, who is a police officer, saying he had been put in a car and was being driven somewhere. After many measures were taken to find the boy, his father found him in their other apartment. Thankfully for the boy the police station has not pressed charges.

Scientists have been working on cracking the DNA code for a long time. Sixty years ago when they described the chemical code of life, who knew sixty years later they would find a new four-stranded type of DNA found in the double helix of DNA. This new discovery is called a G-quadruplex. This new discovery really shows us how amazing God is, and very creative.
