9th set of remains recovered, all from 1 serial killer. - 0 views

  •
In Long Island, New York a human skull was found on the outside of a bird sanctuary. This is the ninth set of human remains that have been found remotely close to the area. The skull was found Monday around 3:30 pm in Oyster Bay. Somewhere around four hours earlier a police dog found another set of remains about a mile away. Cops weren't sure wether the remains were human or not. Police are going to continue their search on Tuesday. Since December eight sets of human parts have been discovered. These remains were in Suffolk County, about five miles from the sites of Mondays discoveries.

Some people are so sick to be able to kill anyone, especially up to 9 people.
  •
In New York, another set of bones was recovered. It can potentially be from the same serial killer of the other 8 sets. They were found on the outskirts of Long Island, New York. Authorities will not release any information on the remains or the condition of them. The remains may possibly belong to 24 year old Shannan Gilbert. Police say she was an escort visiting a client's home, and she ran from his house and called 911 claiming someone is trying to hurt her. Police responded to her call only 30 minutes later, but she was nowhere to be found. Her call led to the other 8 bodies being found, which her family is happy about.

I think someone should start keeping a lookout for guys with garbage bags and shovels around that area.

Breathalyer at prom for a new york school - 0 views

  •
Saratoga High School in New York will have breathalyzer for each student attending prom next month. It will be at the front door to ensure that every student will attend prom in a sober fashion. Their principal says the new guideline is in response to growing concerns about student safety and alcohol use. Mostly all of the students of this school said its a good idea and they like this idea. They think that students should be checked for this since its not legal for anyone underage to do no matter the circumstances.

I think it's a good idea. No one wants to have some drunk annoying people ruining prom for everyone else. If you're going to be stupid, do it on your own time.
  •
This should be at our prom. This could make sure no one gets hurt drinking and driving. It could also make sure there is no chaos at proms.
  •
This is a good thing to do because it will keep the kids safer and a more enjoyable prom rather then being arrested.
  •
I agree that they should be checked. It's a good thing because it can make alot of bad things that could have happened, not possible.
  •
I think this is a good idea, i agree with Rachel. Nobody wants a drunk annoying person at their prom ruining it for everybody else.
  •
This is a good idea because there are probably many students who would show up to prom under the influence of alcohol.
  •
It makes sense to use precautions like this. Every year there's students who drink before prom and usually get arrested. Doing this might affect how many people actualy do drink before prom. Also it will cut down on the dangers of drunk driving.

  •

A Haunting - 0 views

  •
A house in New England is said to be haunted. This isn't just any ordinary house this is one of the oldest houses in America. They say that there is occasional footsteps on the stairs when nobody is even there, flashlights going dark with brand new batteries, and the doorbell ringing with nobody at the door. The house was built more than four hundred years ago and was built by English settlers Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks. The house is now a museum open to the public.
  •
Dude I love haunted houses. I think my house is because I miss place everything I own. But are they real or fake and is this just a bribe to get more people to visit.

People have no care about anybody else which is why they keep hopping the border. Little do they know that every person that enters our country illegally, could be the person who takes your job in a year or two. Its hard to stop all of this but our country needs to devote even more attention to the border and all of the problems with it.
  •
Lucas ~ reread your post and think about better ways you could have said some of the things above to be less offensive. Sometimes, we can better convey our views and get our point across when we speak more appropriately. Think about it. If you want to convince someone or persuade someone to think as you do, you'll never get the chance if you turn them off by offending them. Does that make sense?

Mount Carmel Township approves ban on fake pot - 3 views

  •
Mount Carmel Township is trying to ban selling, delivering, or buying synthetic drugs. They will be the first township with this ban but they want to see it happen. If it goes info effect, it will start April 20. After this date punishment by law will be put into place.

  •
Finally this area shows some kind of common sense, we need to get these "drugs" off the street including the people doing them.
  •
This is a ban that is much needed. So many people are abusing things like this and it really needs to stop. People who continue to abuse this should be punished to the full extent.
  •
It is about time somebody does something about this ridiculous stuff that people are consuming into there body. People could really make a drug out of anything ya know what i mean?
  •
Mount Carmel Township will be the first township with an ordinance banning synthetic marijuana. But what does this matter? No matter what they ban, there's always going to be the nest new thing out. People will keep finding ways to get around the bans, and the new laws. Its essentially pointless for all this to be happening. even though i do agree that the "fake pot" is a bad idea

James ~ be sure when summarizing, you summarize. I can see that you chose various facts/sentences throughout the article and what you chose was great in giving a short overview of the important parts of this article. Be sure, however, to always use your own words to retell what you read versus direct sentences from the source. Did I just see somewhere, too, that one escaped in California?

blue shield workers locked out of work - 0 views

  •
BlueCross and BlueShield has been negotiating with the Local 212 Union for more than two months. After trying for awhile they could not come to an agreement and the workers were told to stay home. Although The workers were told to stay home they showed up anyways. They said that main concern in this negotiating process is a lack of job security and outsourcing that has taken place. This lockout was to ensure no interruptions in service to customers, members and providers and that the workers were told not to come to work until a new contract was ratified because of previous issues.

57-year-old Jacqueline Berghorn came face-to-face with a bear at her home in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. It pushed her down and she hit a glass door. The bear then ran away, right through a fence. Berghorn said it came back and her husband fired two shots at it. He missed and the bear ran off.One of Berghorn's neighbors said a bear killed six chickens on his property Sunday, but it's believed to be a different bear.

That lady is really lucky that bear did grab a good hold of her.
  •
Something must have triggered the bear to do something like that. Normally bears are very afraid of people unless their cubs are around or they're harmed.
  •
Thats something that will jump start your day. Being attacked by a bear. Invest in a fence like in jurassic park, no bear would be even close to the household let alone the people inside.
  •
She must have found her pepper spray.
  •
I agree there had to be something that set the bear off. Whether it was hungry or scared it might have had a motive. At least no one was hurt.
  •
I agree with kayleen, the bear must have a motive behind doing this. Black bears arent really that mean of bears. they usually keep to themselves.
  •
It's not unlikely to have bears around our houses and places where we do activities. We just need to be careful in case we do see one to know what to do.
