    The FDA approved a drug used to help slow the spreading of cancer cells in stage 4 melanoma patients. The drug will soon be used for stage 3 patients. The drug has been used to increase the lifespan of users by at least 4 months.

    Mmm... interesting. Thirteen years is an awful long time to wait for the release of a new drug attempting to combat such a devastating disease.

    In Boston a mother was accused of killing her son. the mother said she withheld lifesaving drugs from her cancer that was making him sicker. She was found guilty of attempted murder in connection with her son. The boys name was Jeremy Fraser. He was 9 years old. he was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.

    A mother from Massachusetts was charged with attempted murder and child endangerment after stealing her autistic sons prescription medication. The mother denied withholding her son's medicine at first until she got questioned about it. Jeremy, the autistic son, was very sick and needed all his medication to survive his situation. When the mother was convicted Jeremy had to move in with his father. Jeremy passed away in February and his father died in a motorcycle crash 7 months later.

    I can't believe someone would still much needed drugs from there 9 year old son who has cancer. This type of stuff makes me sick!

    This is such a sad story. I think that it's very wrong for somebody to do this to their own son. This lady must have thought she knows more then a person who had gone to school for years to be able to tell the boy he needed these drugs.

    It is sad that some people have to resort to stealing money from a donation jar. The fact that they got only $20 out of the jar just makes them look even worse.

    I agree with Tyler. It's horrible that people will do anything just for money. Taking money from a donation jar is really inconsiderate, and not to mention, illegal.

    This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of someone doing. Most donation jars are basically empty anyway because people really don't care.

    Times might be hard, but stealing isn't an excuse. Especially when it's from a donation jar to help someone else out.

    This is sad. That money could have been used to make a difference in someone sick and now it's being used for something not nearly important. People are just so inconsiderate.

    That is just a shame how people could go and steal things, and to go and steal money that is for someone with cancer yet. I dont think some people have feelings. It is just wrong and uncaring to do something like that.

    Grete Waitz a Norwegian Marathon runner died today in Oslo. She won 9 New York City Marathons. Her first Marathon in 1978 she set a new record time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 30 seconds. In 2005 she announced she had cancer. She inspired runners all of the world.

    She has accomplished a lot in her life and made huge accomplishments on winning her marathons. It's sad she has died but she definatly got a lot out of life.
