Going to try using this as part of my venture into digital storytelling

Great presentation on the place/value of blended/online learning & the CA Open Campus Initiative. The Initiative was Federally-funded to develop the curriculum which is shared to schools that want to use it. Embedded in the HaikuLMS. 

There are still some educators that don't seem to know the no nos for teaching with a projector or interactive whiteboard (IWB). Here are ten no nos to avoid as you teach with technology.

"Whether you're a new or seasoned Twitter user, you likely come across confusing hashtags that probably look like a bunch of nonsense." This post has hashtags grouped very well for educators and how to use hashtags properly. 

Nice basic introduction to hashtags in education and has groupings of tags that will be helpful to use in filtering what you want to find and share on Twitter

Thorough introduction to curation and its implications for education. 

A really well written post on some things we should consider about blogging. She based her post on her own experience with blogging and the work of Sue Waters, a professional educ. blogger and trainer for Edublogs. Here are some questions she asks: Who should be writing for? What is the benefit? Is it important to read others work and comment? I think if you read this post, you will be encouraged. 

Three ways to send student work, images, video, etc. to your Dropbox. Check out the differences by trying them out. I've used Jotform as a way to collect videos and images. 

Fascinating book on a new pedagogy for the 21st century teacher and learner. Will we continue to ask students to work in an environment of scarcity, both in resources, but also in the learning process, which is locked up by testing and standards? Check it out!

Great way to use a blog as an online resume. Margaret has done an exemplary job in her curation of her blog. Great to show for career classes & business. I'm thinking about starting to do something like that for myself!

Mrs. Yollis, 3rd grade teacher is an award-winning blogger. She has her students blogging and has taught them some keys to leaving quality comments on posts in a simple, fun way. Check it out! I loved it.

Even if you can't get paperless, these strategies will help reduce the amount of paper you have on your desk, in files, etc. I like the "scan & shred" as a way to reduce paper kept. You could scan and store in folder in files backed up to a server, Google Docs, or Dropbox. For more sensitive documents, I would store in files that are stored on a school server that can be passed along, when necessary. 

Now you can send files up to 10GB from Google Drive in the new compose mode in Google Mail (Gmail). This is a huge plus for sharing large files with others without having to use Dropbox, Box.net, etc. that have file size limitations (Free versions).
