Googlize a Lesson wiki has some interesting takes on how to incorporate Google into the classroom. Yes, I love that he is using Google docs and embedding the presentations into his wiki. 

Applications for the use of Wikis in science classrooms is only limited by the creativeness of the teacher in support science teaching and student earning.

Multimedia search tool. Interesting but it may not be totally safe for classroom use.

LIve blogging for your event (simple little weekly meeting or big conference). 

Not a lot of posts, but some very good examples of the bar model. I share it because I think the examples are useful for teachers to understand how to help students bridge the gap between text and symbolic representation.

Are you new to using an interactive whiteboard (IWB)? Have you used one for ages but want some other ideas? Are you using an IWB regularly but know you could use it better? Then you are invited to join The 2010 Interactive Whiteboard Challenge! The aim of the IWB Challenge: To improve the use of interactive whiteboards in classrooms everywhere by having students and teachers set challenges for each other by creating videos and screencasts of ways they use their IWB. The aim is also to connect educators and students to others who are working at improving their IWB practice.

Statistics that lie! This is a great example of data that isn't reported correctly. The article decries the death of Netbooks, when in fact it is more about a stabalization of sales. I encourage math teachers to let students read the article and at least the first two responses. It's a great example of blatant misinformation. 

Another look at the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010

I know Wikipedia is a galvinizing tool to many teachers, but this is a great example of what Wikipedia can do that few other sites are capable of doing. What a great place to start the conversation with the expectation that students back up any information with outside sources!!!

Another timeline tool that allows for addition of text events along a timeline. It's still in beta, but relatively easy to use. Not a lot of bells and whistles. Can import from Flickr, Wikipedia, but I haven't found that you can embed video, yet.

I've long used Evernote for my own personal notetaking on the web(although I have recently been migrating to Diigo for my online annotations), this post by Shawn Miller is such a great explanation of the tool that I'm going to move Evernote back into the forefront of my notetaking. I do love the mobile Evernote app on iPhone. It makes it very easy to not only take multiple kinds of notes (audio, text, image) but makes it easy to share those notes.
