I really like this tool, and can see many uses of it both with co-learners and with students! It could be used to help facilitate understanding through a "What-How-Why? activity in a Design Thinking process. I envision a group of educators watching a video of students working in a classroom and responding with observations at different points in the video - having the video time stamp and ability to respond to other people's comments would be a great tool to be able to use in an asynchronous manner. And equally for students - an effective tool for them to use video for observation and reflection on their learning!

Intel Education: Visual Ranking Tool - 2 views

  •
Making a list is usually straightforward and requires little thought. But when it comes to ordering and prioritizing items in that list, higher-level skills of analysis and evaluation are put to use. The Visual Ranking Tool brings focus to the thinking behind making ordered lists. Students identify and refine criteria as they assign order or ranking to a list. Items in the list may be represented by images. Students must explain their reasoning and can compare their work with each other in a visual diagram. This tool supports activities where students need to organize ideas, debate differences, and reach consensus.

Thanks Marshal. I loved the tool when we used it in class, but I can't seem to use it with my students. I signed up for an account, but I'm not getting the permissions I need to get into the tool. Frustrating. Any hints?
