Stiglitzillä on jutussa hetkensä, mutta yleisanalyysi jää nahjuiseksi. Tulee vaikutelma, että uuden talouden tavoittelu edellyttäisi "korkeampaa moraalia". Sosialismin aave jää iloisen kommunistin aaveen varjoon. "Mutta emmehän me halua lisätyötä, vaan vapautta. Eikä solidaarisuus ole meille taakka. Me luomme kulttuuria ja teknologiaa elämälle."
