Recently I read 'Good to Great' by Jim Collins a book that describes the processes and structures that allowed eleven companies to transition from good to great and outperform the market by a factor of three for sustained periods. One story stands out as a metaphor for a growth mindset.

The iPad is a very intriguing piece of hardware. It appears to do a lot of things well. It might be really great for me, but will it be great for my classroom?

Great site with videos 3-5 mintues covering various computer topics. Great for introducing topics such as blogs, twitter, hardware, sofatwere, etc.

Online education can be a strange concept to those who are used to viewing learning as a process that involves students sitting in a classroom with a lecturer in front of them. Yet, there is great promise in online programs. In addition, the opportunity to take classes from home at the student's convenience is a great incentive for full-time workers and those with other pressing responsibilities to go back to school. But for those who are not ready to go fully digital with their education, there is a way to get the best of both worlds with a blended education.
