I found this website very resourceful because it gives information about the common terms associated with copy right and fair use. The information from this website was also taken from a book called Getting Permission (October 2010) by Richard Stim.

Numbers play a major part particularly in this article that was written about Athletic scholarships. The numbers that are spoken about here are not a players statistics but instead how many athletes are actually trying to earn an athletic scholarship and the chances of them getting one. It talks about how to get one and all the things that are needed. The more information gathered on this topic the more you can get rid of all the little errors many prospective athletes make.

Researchers ask the question if private schools result in better scores than public schools. At first it was found that students in private perform no differently than their public school peers once Socioeconomic Statuses are removed, on test of their achievement. It was later found that students who had attended private schools outperform their public school peers on test of their developmental abilities.

This type of information is actually really important to me as well as interesting because my little girl is fixing to start school in August. This has been a major dilema for me because I didn't know where exaclty to start her at. But with these type of articles I am gaining a lot of interesting information.

I really enjoyed this article and definitely agree that students benefit from a private school education. I taught private Kindergarten for two years. The curriculum I taught was on a 1st and 2nd grade level and with the small student-teacher ratio (I had 10 kids max), I was able to work with students one on one and focus on each students weakness area to improve it. Also, at the end of the year, the students had benchmark tests they took and scored well above the percentile compared to other students their same age in the areas of math, reading, social awareness, etc. If financially feasible, I think students especially younger ones greatly benefit from private school. Great selection of article.

Best practices policies for uses of various forms of media.

This professionally created, animated YouTube video combines visual, text-based, and auditory learning with technology and humor to create a lasting memory in the minds of today's students. I find these kind of tools very successful in the classroom, and I think further researching them is very important. Made by the educational resource company "Ignite! Learning."

I think this video is a good technology tool to incorporate in U.S. History. Personally, history is one of my least favorite subjects because it is so boring! When learning about history there are so many historical figures and dates that it is almost impossible for students to remember all the material being presented. Therefore, as educators we must attempt to make learning enjoyable. Learning should consist of a variety of resources to enhance rentention of the information. I think this is definitely a video the students will remember!

This article list an important fact about how many actuall "full ride scholarships" are given out. Even though it does not state much of the academic side it states a very true and important fact.

This is interesting because my daughter is college age and so are my nieces, they would find this interesting.

oh wow! This is really interesting. I tried to get a track scholarship to Sam Houston in 2006. When I realized that would be almost impossible I just decided to be a regular student. I find that when you are in high school it is more common to see college scouts looking more for the boys. I am glad to see, according to this article, that more females are being offered full rides to college. This is awesome!

This article talks about project-based learning and how engaging the students in learning they actually gain wider and deeper knowledge of the topic. It talks about how project-based learning is also a great way to incorporate technology.

This article explains how technology in the classroom changes the role of the teacher and students. Technology increases the students' motivation and self-esteem while allowing them to learn technical skills. In addition, the article explains how technology allows students to aaccomplish more complex task and work collaboratively with peers.

This Article goes into detail about how to break down the the copyright and fair use laws so not to misinterpreted. 

I love quizlet! These teacher- OR student-made online study guides allow students to access material and information anywhere with internet connection. And its use of different methods--flash cards-matching-GAMES!-quizzes--ensures all learning styles are addressed. This article (a thesis) studies and advises on the use of Quizlets.

Interesting idea for convenient and smart teaching!

This article discusses how interactive notebooks can enhance student learning. It also gives several good examples of how they can be used to assess student progress and understanding.

Great book about situated learning, kind of makes you feel like you are in a Liam Neeson movie and testing theories and such!

A Teaching blogger's dream is about to begin. Someone once said that until something is shared it is just and idea that no one cares about. Blogging in Education is really getting popular now. Helpful for anyone who wants to create an educator's blog. I am thinking of using it this semester.

It is important with the blog to follow fair use and the following article shows how to do that: http://www.ehow.com/list_7397165_fair-use-copyright-laws-teachers.html It would seem that fair use is including information with apa citations, not too much information and credit. But the jury is still out on this.
