United Spinal Association has released an updated version of the Accessible Air Travelâ€" A Guide for People With Disabilities. The revised edition includes expanded regulations for the Air Carrier Access Act. This is the law that mandates air travel accessibility for people with disabilities. Our revised edition includes the new regulations that take affect on May 13, 2009. This helpful booklet informs individuals with disabilities of their rights as passengers on commercial airlines and how to adequately prepare to ensure their air travel experience is enjoyable. It also provides valuable insight on a multitude of air carrier procedures, such as information about requirements for foreign airlines, what to expect in terms of equipment liability, how to file a complaint, and airport screening requirements.

CBER is the Center within FDA that regulates biological products for human use under applicable federal laws, including the Public Health Service Act and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. CBER protects and advances the public health by ensuring that biological products are safe and effective and available to those who need them. CBER also provides the public with information to promote the safe and appropriate use of biological products.

Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy - The Federation's vision is that state licensing boards and their Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy will achieve a high level of public protection through a strong foundation of laws and regulatory standards in physical therapy, effective tools and systems to assess entry-level and continuing competence, and public and professional awareness of resources for public protection. The Ad Hoc Developmental Disabilities Task Force monitors the Developmental Disabilities Bill of Rights Act and the administration of the program through the Administration on Developmental Disabilities. The LDA Rearch Committee works to find causing of Learning Disability. The LDA provides a knowledgeable interface between LDA membership and the medical and scientific communities. The Committee monitors scientific and medical literature, research grants, diagnostic methods and biological causes related to learning disabilities. The Committee brings salient information and scientific contribution to the LDA Directors and membership. The Committee also takes LDA concerns and goals which support research and regulations related to the causes of learning disabilities to the scientific community and to federal agencies and members of congress.
